Wow. Let me just start with some context. A year ago, I wrote a bio for this profile. Let's just say it was VERY outdated, so here's the updated version. Firstly, I've had a complete change of heart regarding my career path, as any normal teenager would. Instead of pursuing the medical path that I've been interested in since 1st grade and preparing for with classes over the last three years, I'm now going into Cosmetology after high school. Since writing my last bio, I do, in fact, have ADHD, and I've learned that it makes me who I am. I've realized that among all of the hobbies I've collected with my diagnoses, the one hobby that I've never gotten bored with is Cosmetology. I'm always learning new techniques, new styles, and different strategies. I get to share with people how cosmetology can influence one's confidence and personality. I can make people happy and feel good about themselves, same as if I were caring for their physical health in the medical field. Cosmetology still requires the application of scientific knowledge, so I'm not giving up my love for science by a change of career path. I may have lost a passion for the medical field, but my passion for helping people remains the same. I'm just rewiring my hobbies into the best of all my worlds, Cosmetology. By getting my cosmetology certification, there's a much larger umbrella of options for me, meaning I can pursue any job under that umbrella I put my mind to, and the sky's the limit from there.
