Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to leave my mark on the world and have my name remembered. Although I doubt that my name will be remembered for decades to come, I still want to make a positive impact on the world. I haven't yet decided which career path I wish to take but I know it will either be Business Administration or Nursing. Both of which I could use to create a lasting effect on my community. Through business administration, I could create policies that allow for people to feel more safe, welcomed, and equal within the work environment. I could also take more care of the community through improving environmental policies that the company holds. For nursing, I would be able to take care of those who need it and be able to provide support for those that are hurt. I would work to improve the level of seriousness that doctors have with their patients. I've heard plenty of stories of doctors ignoring complaints of patients and dismissing very serious symptoms. So, with a higher up position in the nursing field, I could force a better environment to encompass the hospital and nurture a more healing space. Both of these very different career paths pique my interest because they work well with contrasting aspects of my personality and character. Business Administration works well with my more strong and blunt side and Nursing works well with my more caring and soft side. All I can do now to decide is get more involved with traits of these careers and find out what I like best. So far, I have been focused on my classes and making myself the best candidate for my dream schools. Along with that, I have been involving myself in my community through extracurricular activities. This past year I have been getting more involved with NHS (National Honor Society) through community service and showing up for more community events. Being apart of NHS and volunteering has allowed me to realize just how important that participating in community is. It creates a support system that is able to help people when they need it the most. It gives people the chance to improve themselves, create friends, and better their lives as a whole. Not only that, but participating in the community can also make you feel better through improving the lives of others.

Each person wants to leave their mark on the world and be remembered like the individuals you see on the news or hear about in history class. Everyone in their own way does leave a unique mark on this world, no matter how large or small. I however, want to leave a noticeable one. My dad has always told me that I have the ambition and drive like no else he's ever met, and I have elected to believe him. My grandparents own four businesses, all of which allow their names to be known in our small community. I wish to become like them one day in that I am recognized for my success. I want to follow my grandma and grandpa in pursuing a business of my own and allowing it to flourish into a sparkling part of the community. Not only do I want to be remembered for my part in the community, but I want to be recognized for being a leading figure in the business world. Although I don't know how I may reach that spot in the future, I know that I will accomplish anything that I put my mind towards. I want to make my family proud, including my grandparents and my dad. I want them to be able to think and talk about me with pride in their hearts. I know that I am still quite young, but I know what I want out of life and how much work I am willing to put in to achieve that. I want to make my family and myself proud by pushing myself to accomplish my dreams, no matter how farfetched.
