With countless shows and movies on streaming services such as Netflix, there is one show that one after another will watch in one sitting. That show is Transformers Prime, which came out when I was about six or seven years old and completely captivated me for years. For a show that came out in 2010, the show's animation quality, the story, voice acting, sound and music, and the overall premise of the show all came together to create such a memorable show. Now so many years later it still holds strong as a binge-worthy show, there have been countless days or late-night study sessions that I have put it on and know many of the episodes by heart. Transformers Prime as a whole is a story that follows an alien race as they end up on Earth in a war between their species. Two sides now fighting not just for their planet, but Earth as well. Each episode brings with it a complex story that expands beyond what the show has shown us and also shows how the show has crafted every character with a deep complexity that has made me keep coming back to the show time and time again. While alien robot shows may not be to everyone's taste, when you look closer at Transformers Prime and give it a chance to prove itself then I am certain that there is at least something that can connect to someone. Whether that is that you are someone who enjoys how a story is written, how the voice acting is done, or the art design there can be something from everyone. This is a show that has, in all honesty, helped me. It has been a comfort show that as a kid shaped how I think and act. Watching how in the show it isn't the heroes always win, there is genuine struggle and perseverance that is displayed, stakes are real stakes that could drastically change the course of the show forever. It can keep you on the edge of your seat even after the dust has cleared. Along with the story that is driving it, it always doesn't disappoint with its actions or the character interactions. You can get lost in the show for hours on end without realizing it and in the blink of an eye, you are already onto season 3 without even realizing it. Another great thing that comes with watching Transformers Prime is how it's structured. Watching the episodes themselves they are a little under 30 minutes each and structured and paced not to drag on and on or feel like things are being rushed. The show itself has 3 seasons with 65 episodes in total with the addition of a movie that concludes the season. And who knows, when binge-watching a show like this it could even open the doors to exploring different Transformers shows that are out there that someone could end up loving.

Reaching the point of who I am today has been a constantly swerving road leaving me at times left on the side of the road watching everything go by. In my life ever since I was in eighth grade I have started questioning things about myself. It was confusing for me to be thinking more deeply about who I was when I knew next to nothing about anything LGBTQ+ related and was just starting to learn the basic information. Not knowing fully about the LGBTQ+ community and constantly being worried and afraid that no one would want to talk about the topic, or would think about me differently. The biggest challenge I have had to face comes from the experience of self-discovery. Constantly questioning and going back and for with myself about whether or not who I say I am is genuinely who I am. Constantly thinking that I was wrong or I shouldn't be thinking the way I was. Even now as I am going to be going into my second year of college I am still trying to figure things out about who I am such as my own gender identity. When I first started to step into the world of who I am at first I was just starting to question my sexuality. Now at the age of 19, I can confidently say that I'm bi and demiromantic, I am also starting to finally look towards if I am non-binary or if I am simply just me and using she/they pronouns. When it comes to my education, for years I have loved writing, having that freedom to create worlds where there was no limit to anything. I want to gain as much knowledge and understanding about the world of writing to be able to take my writing to the next level. While it may at times seem that writing isn't something that doesn't need to be focused on as much as say getting a degree in a science or history, writing is a driving force in our world. And it can tie into teaching others about different topics such as LGBTQ+ rights as well as society at large. With the power of the written would as an author you can give people a deeper look into a life that could be one they have not looked at yet, or serve as a mirror to someone's own life. We can help shape an understanding and foster a community that supports each other and gives others a source to gain an understanding from. Also with writing it can always be used to give sutleties into life, showing people the whole picture and every layer that went into it. This scholarship would help with the burden of the towering being of financial stress that comes with getting a college education. One big way that this scholarship would help is that it would open up the door to furthering my education. This scholarship would take away the stress of constantly needing to figure out how to keep afloat with the cost of attendance and furthering my education. Also, it would help not just current day me, but the future me. This scholarship would help me stay away from the student loan debt that has the potential to follow me for the rest of my life and never leave me be. There would also be money there that could be put towards extra classes that could help take the needed classes to graduate or explore new classes that could open up new doors of understanding or interests for the future.
