Bio

I love theater, especially musicals. I joined as a sound techie and I had found my passion. I want to go to CRAS, a trade school for audio engineering and production. I've found my passion and I by pursuing this career I won't "work" a day in my life because instead I'll just be doing what I enjoy!

People never really think about everything that goes on in the background or back stage. I know I never did. That was until I joined the background and now want to build a career out of it. I hope to become an audio engineer for live sound such as concerts, broadcasted games or shows. I started exploring this with my theater club my freshmen year in high school. We needed a sound tech and I was initially interested but intimidated by the complex and large soundboard. There was no one to teach me more than the general basics, and it was a surety that more than the basic knowledge was needed. Out of my love for theater and determination to have the program and show be a success, I went and did my own research. Watching countless teaching videos and reading various articles from professors, and at some point I even read the very dusty user manuals to our equipment. After everything I felt more prepared each rehearsal and applied my newfound knowledge with truthfully unexpected success. I then became the sound head in our theater department and along with the effort of so many others out club is growing more and more each year. And now more students are interested in learning how to run the sound technology, and I have the opportunity of preparing them to run for when I graduate. I have even taught my own cousin everything I have learned so far and he has even expressed to me that he would like to pursue a similar path. With him and so many others, I have seen how sharing your knowledge and passion can impact so many others and help them find their own paths. In teaching others I have strengthened my own enthusiasm to apply myself and my knowledge to those around me. Because of this passion that at first only came out of necessity, I have grown to love it and enjoy it. I hope to attend a trade school learning to manage sound technology in various areas of the career field. In educating myself to become and engineer, I aim to be an instrument to further creativity and make the world a better and more enjoyable place. I hope to learn as much as I can to share my skills with the world. I aspire to be the instrument for art to be shared.
