Bio

I’m a 20-year-old creative and entrepreneur from Philadelphia with a deep love for storytelling, leadership, and faith. I started my first business at 14 and hosted a successful pop-up at 15, managing everything from budgeting to vendor coordination. Since then, I’ve completed a public relations internship at Zimmermann, led initiatives as Head of the Creative & Visionary Committee at Fusion Gyms, and I’m currently interning at REC Philly as a Creative and Production Assistant. Outside of work, I create content that encourages and uplifts others, often blending themes of identity, healing, and purpose. I’m passionate about using my creativity to make a meaningful impact and continue growing in the fields of fashion, production, and branding. I’m applying for scholarships to support my education and career goals as I pursue opportunities in fashion PR, creative direction, entrepreneurship and so much more!

Faith has always been a guiding force in my life, but there were two defining moments that transformed it from something I believed in to something I actively lived through: leaving an unhealthy relationship and supporting my mother during her battle with stage 3 cancer. Both experiences taught me that faith isn’t just for comfort—it’s a source of clarity, courage, and direction. The relationship I was in challenged me in ways I never expected. Although the control I experienced was emotional, psychological, and spiritual, the turning point for me was when I realized that God had placed a stronger identity inside me than the one I was being convinced to accept. Even in the middle of confusion, something in my spirit kept telling me that I was meant for more, that peace was possible, and that God had a path for me beyond what I was experiencing. I relied on scripture and prayer to steady me. One verse in particular—“I sought the Lord, and He heard me”—became a promise I held onto daily. As I prayed for clarity, I started to find it. As I prayed for strength, it grew in me. And as I prayed for a way out, opportunities opened. Leaving the relationship wasn’t just a moment of escape—it was a moment of awakening. It taught me that faith can lift you out of situations that seem impossible and guide you back to the person God always intended you to be. That experience strengthened me emotionally and spiritually, allowing me to stand more firmly in my identity and values. Around the same time, my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. It was a moment that tested our entire family. Instead of letting fear dictate our reactions, we chose to anchor ourselves in prayer, optimism, and trust in God’s healing power. Watching my mother fight with determination, and witnessing her strength grow alongside her faith, inspired me deeply. We prayed together, encouraged one another, and held onto hope even on the hardest days. Her healing was not just a medical victory—it was a testimony of faith in action. It reminded me that belief can carry you through circumstances that feel bigger than you. Moving through both of these challenges reshaped my understanding of faith. It taught me that trusting God doesn’t mean life will be easy, but it does mean that I will never walk through anything alone. It gave me resilience, emotional maturity, and a deeper sense of purpose. These qualities now influence how I show up in every area of my life, especially as I pursue my future in fashion, advertising, and public relations. I want my career to reflect creativity, authenticity, and the strength I gained from these experiences. Most of all, these moments showed me that faith is not just something I practice—it is something that empowers me to rise, rebuild, and become the woman I am called to be.

I am worth the dreams I aspire to achieve because they are not dreams I created on my own — they were planted in me by God. They are connected to His purpose for my life and the impact He has called me to make. I don’t believe in chasing dreams just to say I did it. I believe in walking boldly in obedience, even when it’s hard, even when the world says I’m not ready — because I know God qualifies the called. My dreams are rooted in faith, womanhood, creativity, and healing. From a young age, I felt a deep desire to create, inspire, and serve. At 14, I launched my hair care brand, Swoop Control, out of my bedroom — not because I had everything figured out, but because I had a fire in me to uplift young Black women through beauty, confidence, and truth. Since then, I’ve created over 1,000 pieces of content, been interviewed in magazines and podcasts, and hosted my first pop-up shop. But my dream is bigger than business. It’s about helping women see themselves the way God sees them — loved, worthy, and whole. Alongside entrepreneurship, I serve on the content team at Epiphany Fellowship, where I help tell stories that glorify God and uplift the body of Christ. Ministry isn’t just something I do — it’s how I live. Even in seasons of anxiety, uncertainty, or spiritual warfare, I’ve chosen to stay faithful. I’ve chosen therapy, healing, and vulnerability, because I know I can’t lead others well if I’m not first letting God lead me. The dreams I carry are tied to generational healing and legacy. I want to build something that not only honors my calling, but also creates space for other women to rise. I want to use my voice, my creativity, and my testimony to show that you don’t have to wait until you’re perfect to be used by God — you just have to be willing and surrendered to His will. This scholarship would be more than financial help — it would be a seed into good ground. I am worth the dreams I aspire to achieve because they are not just mine — they are Heaven-backed. I will continue to pursue them with humility, boldness, and unshakable faith — because God didn’t place them in me by accident. He is faithful to complete the work He started in me, and I am committed to walking it out with purpose and power.
