Bio

My utmost goal is to be a lifelong learner. As the very first in my family to pursue a career in medicine, I hope to serve my community as a physician whose goal is to reduce the stigma surrrounding chronic illness and myalgic encephalomyelitis, and inspire other young women in STEM to pursue their dreams and bring equality to the field. Having suffered greatly from a chronic illness myself, I am the founder/CEO of Chronic Connections, a global initiative and teen support group which seeks to bring awareness to post-viral syndrome and validate adolescents suffering from this condition. I hope to pursue an education in public policy and global health that runs parallel to my STEM education to bring the patient to the center of healthcare and provide the fundamental human right of access to healthcare to all. As a French-American dual-citizen, my culture is fundemental to my essence and I seek to uphold my francophone values in my studies and in my future. The chance to recieve scholarship funding would assist me in achieving my biggest dream: serving my community for the rest of my life. My family cannot afford to support me financially for the duration of my undergraduate or medical school education, and I am so incredibly grateful in advance for the scholarship donor who will recognize my need and ambition, and will support me in pursuing these endeavors in bringing equality to the field of STEM and advocating for chronic illness disability. www.chronicconnections.org/
