My current role is working as an infection prevention observer and for a long time, I've been helping others but know I'm asking for some help with my dream of becoming a nurse and providing excellent care. As of now I have completed my first semester at Triton college with a B average and a 3.0 GPA. Some young children have Specific dreams and for as long as I can remember mines has always been to become a nurse, to be able to help people when they need it the most. This Hospital has helped so many in the community. and over time it has continued to improve its programs and has even become affiliated with a large university hospital in a major city and went through a name update. Now named "RUSH" My children constantly told me that I should go back to school to become the nurse I always dreamed of being. they said I was the best" booboo" healer they knew, and others should experience it as well. so, I decided to take my children's advice and go back to school. I hadn't been to school for a while. I decided to take some classes to see if I could keep up. surprise! I did great! so, I enrolled in a nursing degree program so that I could obtain my nursing license and my associate's degree in nursing while pursuing my dream. I thought of it as a challenge I would gladly accept. I will begin nursing classes at "Triton College" in the Spring. After I helped my children achieve their goals, I started to focus on mine once more. One day, the director of quality asked my former boss for a position I hold today as an Infection prevention observer in the Clinical Effectiveness Department. I later found out that the chief nursing officer Angela recommended me for the position. Since coming to this department, I've won the award for our 1st annual Founders Day award for giving my all to our patients and staff, the awards are for non-clinical employee of the year, and best team of the year award. I've implemented campaigns to improve our hand hygiene compliance that have been highly successful and much more. As my team would say I hit the ground running. My improvement with the department has made me a better person in general because I have a voice that's heard. This only motivates me more and so do my coworkers. They encouraged me to continue my education and fulfill my goal of becoming a nurse. I took some classes to get used to being in the classroom and it paid off.
