I am very passionate about pursuing dermatology. My life goal is to help people with skin conditions to have a better experience in life. As I have previously dealt with severe hormonal acne in my 9th grade year I know what it is like to suffer from a skin condition. I had previously given up on everything, but in my junior and senior years I have done a lot to get rid of all traces of my condition. Through that I have gained a passion for dermatology and have raised my past poor grades to what they are now. Although I cannot raise my cumulative gpa to a 4.0 I have done all that I can to maintain all A's these past 2 years.

My life took a turn when I put my faith in Christ. Although I was raised in a God-fearing environment, I was still skeptical about the impact faith could have on one's life. However, as I looked into the teachings and principles of Christianity, I discovered a sense of purpose that not only changed my life but ignited a desire to extend that positive change to others. Embracing a religious path provided me with a moral compass, guiding me through life's challenges. The teachings offered a framework for ethical decision-making and provided comfort during times of adversity. This has empowered me to make positive changes in my own life. Once I had questioned a friend about religion and if it is truly real. He proceeded to tell me, "Even if religion is false and there is no God I would still live the same way." I thought about this for a while. Religion is a rarity in a world filled with countless wrongdoings and bad teachings. Religion, even without the aspect of worshipping God, is a belief to help others and to see people around you prosper.
Religion instilled in me a deep sense of compassion and empathy for others. The teachings emphasized the importance of kindness, understanding, and helping those in need. As my faith strengthened, so did my commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those around me. The religious community became a source of support. Engaging with like-minded individuals provided a sense of belonging and unity, reinforcing the idea that we are all interconnected. This bond fueled my desire to extend support beyond the religious community to the broader society.
I aspire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. My journey with religion has been transformative, shaping my values, perspective, and actions. This sense of purpose and compassion has inspired me to use my faith as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of others. Through acts of kindness, community engagement, and service, I aim to embody the teachings of my faith and contribute to creating a more compassionate world. As I continue on this path, I am driven by the belief that the transformative power of faith can be a force for good, not only in my own life but in the lives of those I have the privilege to touch. I hope that my belief can be of inspiration and help to others I meet in my life.
