Bold PointsBio
I am a first-generation student, planning to pursue a degree in communications with minors in creative writing, psychology, and marketing.
I have a strong desire to immerse myself in a culture different from America. Living and working in South Korea fascinates me, especially as I want to delve deeper into their film industry. My passion for writing drives me to explore and express my ideas creatively. The Korean Netflix industry has greatly inspired me, motivating me to pursue future film projects. Korean music, film, art, and fashion all fuel my interest in learning more about Korean culture. While I maintain a keen interest in American films, my ultimate goal is to transform my writing into films that resonate with diverse audiences.

My short term goal is to go to HCC and pursue an education in Film production and Marketing. Also learning a new language like Korean. After my education I want to work in the film industry and gain experience to advance and work at Netflix, as a film director or advertising manager. My long term goal is to earn experience in working in the film industry so that I can work at Netflix in Los Angeles, California. I plan to achieve my goals of making fictional American movies and stories so that individuals with the same interest can also achieve their goals into making films and being part of the film industry.

Empowering Women Through Education Scholarship
I am a first generation student, and I plan to attend Houston Community College and study for Film production and Marketing. I am very interested in the film and marketing industry. Since my father is the only parent that works and we are also a big family, it can get difficult to make ends meet, especially since he is self-employed. But, he is glad I am focusing on my studies. I was able to start college during high school as a dual credit student, this allowed for me to gain a college education and to study for an Associates degree of general studies. My school, Channelview High School, was able to pay off most of the tuition which allowed my father and I to pay the rest of the tuition off with ease. In the future, I plan to work in the film industry and make my way to the Marketing industry. So I am eager to keep studying in college.
Bold Memories Scholarship
My hand glides over my dogs soft white fur, specifically a German Shepherd. As my dog, Hachi, wiggles its tail in excitement as I pet him. I grab his favorite toy as I run around my back yard as Hachi chases behind me eager to play with his toy. That was the best memory I still have of Hachi before he passed away in 2014. I named him Hachi because of the movie Hachiko from 2009, Its based on a real story and it made me cry because it was a dogs story, which made it more emotional. I love dogs because they are energetic and lively. Hachi made me realize who I really am. I would be very introverted and lazy at school, but I was so excited to get to play with Hachi after school. Even if I was in a very bad mood Hachi would find a way to make me at least smile and I am thankful I had a friend like him. After he passed, I realized I am not alone and that I could have wonderful friends that could also make me happy. Seeing dogs around public places, remind me of Hachi and how happy he made me, so I wanted to do the same to other people. If any of my friends or family members are down I would tend to do something that would cheer them up. I love this side of me and I thank Hachi for it.
