My first experience with wrestling was my Sophmore year of high school when it first came to my school. That first year went by in a blur. From learning a proper stance to learning the referee's position it was all new and even more exciting. I had thought I knew what tired was until I had to wrestle a full three rounds. That was when I knew that wrestling was unlike any other sport I had participated in. When I wrestled, my school was 4A competing against much bigger schools like 5A and 6A. Many of my competitors had also wrestled longer than me and had a lot more experience. Knowing this did nothing but put a chip on my shoulder going into each match. I just knew that I would have to work harder and dig deeper. Throughout my high school career, I have earned a handful of hardware. I have medaled at many tournaments and I qualified to advance to Regionals in my Junior year. Wrestling has shaped my whole way of thinking. It has truly shown me what it means to work hard and push beyond what limits I had put on myself. Wrestling has shown me that the only way to get better is to work extremely hard, there is no shortcut to success. It has also shaped me into more of a fighter because of the tenacity it has taught me. Wrestling has shown me that no matter how far behind you are, the whole situation could be flipped in a second, you just have to keep fighting as hard as you can. If you feel behind and like life is beating you, keep fighting and you might just get a reversal and come out on top. Wrestling has given me all the great qualities of a leader. Encouragement, work ethic, and leading by example. All traits that are required to succeed in life in whatever a person decides to do. I plan to be a business owner and help the youth of tomorrow. I want to set up a youth-centered athletics facility that helps build the whole athlete and provides support in all aspects of their life. The first step in achieving this dream is obtaining a higher education to learn the basics of business. To do this I know I have to attend a prestigious college. I have been accepted and am committed to attending Trinity University. I will also play for their football team. Simultaneously I will be getting a great education while also deepening my knowledge of advanced athletics and gaining additional experience on how to lead a team and create a successful organization. These lessons will be crucial in building a successful business. I will be working for something bigger than myself. Many businesses fail because the operators only work for money and become blind from seeing what is truly important. For me, the impact I will make on others will be far more valuable than any amount of money. And this is why it will force me to work hard, so I don’t let my community down. I will also be successful because of my unique wrestling mindset and upbringing where I have been exposed to many ideas that have made me the person I am today. In conclusion, wrestling has not only changed my athletic journey but has also impacted my life and helped show me what I want to do in my life. It has shown me how important athletics is to a growing person and how it can improve the individual so much.

In my life, learning and athletics have always been linked together. Anytime I had to learn valuable life lessons like how to work together as a team, how to manage time, or what you do affects others around you, athletics has always shown me that firsthand. Because of these experiences, I know the wisdom and insight that athletics has taught me to successfully manage a team and an organization. I want to study Business Management and Entrepreneurship to utilize and spread the good workings of athletics to others just as athletics have been spread to me. Being a student-athlete has shaped my future career goals. The sport of football is the ultimate team sport because the success of the team truly depends on each individual having each other's back and doing their job. This has taught me in life that for a group of individuals to succeed there must be trust and a deep connection between the individuals. Because of this, I know that people can band together and exceed any expectations and soar high above what any of them thought was possible to achieve. This especially applies to me personally because of my Junior year football season. Absolutely no one expected us to perform well that season, but because we truly had each other's backs banded together, we outperformed all expectations and finished the season with nine wins and three losses. This one lesson has changed my life because it showed me that teamwork isn't just about talent or skill, it is about human connection. Another reason that being a student-athlete has shaped my future career goals is because of how I can make a lasting impact on the world. Throughout my high school career, I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to the younger students at the middle schools and primary schools. During these experiences, I have learned that my actions on and off the field have real-life effects in the real world. I have learned that these kids look up to me and almost idolize me because, in their eyes, they see someone bigger and older doing the same things they are passionate about. Because of this I always try my best to emphasize to these kids that they should continue to work hard every day, get the best grades they possibly can, and always keep believing in themselves. This is hugely important in my life because I know how important it is to have an amazing role model and someone you can look up to when you are younger. Other interests I have include history and helping out on my uncle's farm. My interest in history started when I was young and I scanned the internet looking for videos to spend my time on. I found a bunch of history videos on different topics and periods ranging from ancient Roman architecture to World War II battle strategies. The thought that there were people way before my time doing amazing things and living their own unique lives encapsulated my young mind. Another interest I have is helping out my family by working at my uncle's farm. I do chores like fixing gates and fences and assist in managing the herd of cattle by monitoring their health and ensuring their success. I especially enjoy this interest because it gives me a place to take both a mental and physical break from the grind of my academic and athletic life. To conclude, being a student-athlete has completely changed my career goals and given me a crystal clear picture of how I will help people in the future.

The planning of a business like this would require focus and dedication. Thorough market research would be required to figure out which sports are most popular as well as any untapped markets of any up-and-coming sports and activities in the area like pickleball or yoga. This would be done to ensure maximum efficiency and that the product being displayed is fully reaching the target audience. Next, would be the planning of the infrastructure of the complex. To get even more community outreach, I would collaborate with local schools and community sports organizations to make this business more known and accessible. In general, a successful life to me is self-fulfillment. If I feel like I have achieved a successful life, then I will believe I have lived a successful life. The reason I believe this is because everyone will have a different standard of whether or not you have lived a successful life. Some people will measure your life on how much money you have and others will measure on how much of a legacy you left behind. The thing is, none of that matters if you are not happy with yourself and what you have done. No amount of money can overcome the terrible self-feeling one could find within oneself if the feeling of success and fulfillment isn't reached. This is why I want to pursue my passion, and I know the money will follow. To conclude, opening an athletic facility in my very own local community is a dream I have that is driven by pride in where I come from, as well as my desire to make a positive impact on the future by improving the children of today. This business would combine teaching and sports to truly impact the children of the local community and take a step forward to a better tomorrow. Through careful planning and a commitment to inclusivity, this business would leave a lasting and positive effect on my community.

The entirety of my life, learning, and athletics have been linked together. Anytime I have had a question about life, my parents use sports metaphors and examples to make me understand. Anytime I have had to learn valuable life lessons like how to work together as a team, how to manage your time, or how what you do affects others around you, athletics has always shown me that firsthand. Because of these close personal experiences, I understand the importance and impact that a positive athletic upbringing can have on a person. That being said, the business I believe I could start in my local community would be a youth-centered athletics facility. This business would be an athletic facility where kids ranging from toddlers to high school seniors can come to train, practice, and play the game they love. The reason I want to start this business is because there is a rise in demand for youth-organized leagues. With many kids ditching the traditional seasonal rotation of sports and instead focusing on joining club leagues that play and practice year-round, there is plenty of demand for athletic facilities that they can use to practice and compete in. The reason is because there is a lack of athletic facilities for use by the public. This business would contribute to the general welfare of my local community because of the impact and meaningful touch it would have on the kids' lives. Sports have the power to instill essential life skills into the youth like teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Through structured coaching, life lesson plans, and mentorship these values will be soaked up by the participants of the facility. This in turn will encourage the youth of the community to shine bright and become great people who will make their own homes better and be proud of where they come from because of the development of their character. The planning and preparation of a business like this would require much focus and dedication. Talking about the actual facility, it would include state-of-the-art facilities and equipment so everyone will feel safe and make the experience top-notch. Also, if any children were to face financial struggles, there would be scholarship opportunities or reduced rates for those who truly would benefit from the facilities' use. To keep the business running, a combination of membership fees, program classes, and community advertisements would be the main financial income, however, fundraising events and community partnerships could allow the business to grow and impact the community further. To conclude, opening up a youth-centered athletic facility in my very own local community is a dream I have that is driven by the pride of where I come from, as well as my desire to truly make a positive impact on the future by improving the children of today. The sport I am most passionate about is football. My life has been intertwined with football for as long as I can remember. My earliest football memory was when I was around 7 years old and I was playing flag football for my local church league. We had just stopped them on defense and they had to punt. The coach picked me to go back and return the kick, this one event jump-started my passion for the game. I caught the ball and started running forward, dodging defenders along the way. I scored a touchdown and the feeling I had received celebrating with my teammates was amazing, but what felt even better was the talks I had with my parents after that game. I could tell how proud they were of me. I am strongly passionate about my sport because of the team comradery and brotherhood you have to build with your teammates. The sport of football is the ultimate team sport because the success of the team truly depends on each individual having each other's back and doing their job. This has taught me in life that in order for a group of individuals to succeed there must be trust and a deep connection between the individuals. Throughout my high school career, I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to the younger students at the middle schools and primary schools. I have learned that these kids look up to me and almost idolize me because, in their eyes, they see someone bigger and older doing the same thing they are passionate about. The sport of football has taught me that in life you can achieve any dream you want, as long as you are willing to work as hard as you can at it. It has taught me that the toughest and most grueling battles are always the most rewarding and the feelings afterward make the whole experience worth it. I have received multiple college offers to play football, and I hope that this next step I take in my athletic career, football can teach me even more life lessons and allow me to grow much more as a person.

The foundational pillars that make up the framework of my life have always been faith, family, and athletics. Every major event in my life has always included at least one of these three foundations. My genuine love for these pillars has greatly affected my upbringing and changed my life in ways I never could have even thought of. Because of these changes to my life, I would love to have the chance to affect others by teaching them what I have been taught and showing them what I have seen through owning my own business and helping kids reach for the stars. In high school, I was always hard on myself and never thought I was much of anything. That was until one of my coaches told me how special I could be. And that was just the little spark I needed for the rest of my life to be set aflame. After that moment, I made major strides in all aspects of my life, my sporting career greatly improved as I began to believe in myself, and my academics improved because I knew that I had more in the tank in that regard, and I also became a better person overall by focusing on making sure others didn't feel the same way I had felt at one point. I started to seek out people who had felt similarly to me and I started helping them get out of the ditch that I had once found myself in. The feeling that I got from helping my peers felt like nothing I had ever experienced and I knew that this feeling was what I was meant for. After every person I helped, the feeling just got better and better and I knew this was what I love to do. My college education degree plan is focusing on management and entrepreneurship. I plan to focus and zone in on these programs so I can fully understand the concepts and ideas that are most important in these programs. Because I want to own my own business at one point, I will have to understand every aspect of business and deal with all sorts of obstacles and mix-ups in starting and running a new business. I will learn how to deal with these issues through my college management classes and start a new business with my entrepreneurship learning. I also hope to earn an internship so I can apply my learning in the real world outside of the classroom and see how real businesses are run, so I can model mine after some of the successful ones I have seen. My future plan is to start my own athletic-based business and help mentor the young customers that enter my store and help them with any similar similar feelings that they are dealing with. I want to help young students and athletes break through any negative thoughts and self-doubt and surpass their wildest dreams and expectations. With my future business operation, I will change people's lives and give them the spark I was once given to fully set their lives ablaze. I will help others because of the way I have been helped.
