Good morning, my name is Luaned Ruiz and I am the first in my family to go to college. I have a 3.9 average, I study biology, I want to have good knowledge, prepare myself and validate the classes for molecular biomedicine. My life has always been one thing after another but I learned not to question because if not, why did I realize people worse than me. And that God has a better path for me than the one I think myself sometimes one gets stubborn a path is not for you and the moment I want everything now. God saved me from a lot of abuse from my brother and my father, an ex neighbor, a kidnapping safe and sound. He saved my life when I did not appreciate it, he cleaned me of excess medications. He saved my mother from a huge stroke, not a small common stroke, he saved her and where no doctor would insure her. He never left us on the streets even though my brother took advantage of it, my grandmother had senile dementia. despite having a good average. I arrived at a nursing home and could not continue studying but God had a purpose, the place, the home was near where my mother and grandmother's house were, they found me, I was able to be my 4th year, my associate's degree in health services coordination. and now in management. We had to leave home. My mother has lived her whole life and start from 0. In a place there is not much work but there has never been a lack of a plate of food. God is my strength, I hold on to him, I feel privileged. His mercy is so great, he died for me and for all of us, without deserving us, he offered us eternal life despite being sinners. God has been with me, faith will always be with me. I know that he will give me the wisdom to carry his word. God is good, great and merciful. And he will give me the wisdom to finish my studies well and maintain my grades, contribute to health, leave a legacy to the property. Without God there is nothing, with God everything. I like to help others. I have very clear goals and if that is your purpose, you will help me. I let myself be guided by his will, I learned and left everything in his hands of God. Thank you all.

My name is Luaned Ruiz, I have a 3.9 GPA and I am the first in my family to study at university. I am the first in my family to study at university. Since I was a child I knew I wanted to help others in health by trying out medicine or nursing. If not, leaving scientific advances to medicine for biomedicine. Without biophysicians, without health there is nothing. Without biophysicians, there are no medical advances for medicine to be the bridge between biology and biomedicine. Biomedicine, as a discipline dedicated to improving health and quality of life, has the unique power to unite global communities through innovation, collaboration, and respect for cultural and social differences. By focusing not only on curing diseases but also on addressing health inequities, biomedicine can become an essential tool for building a more empathetic and understanding world. One of the pillars of this transformation is accessible technological innovation. Biomedicine has the potential to develop affordable medical devices and treatments that benefit those affected by genetic diseases, contagious diseases, degenerative conditions like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s, and cancer. For instance, creating advanced tools for the early diagnosis of these conditions would significantly improve treatments and the quality of life for millions of people. These technologies address not only medical challenges but also represent a commitment to social justice, ensuring that health is a right, not a privilege. Personalized medicine also plays a key role in this mission. By leveraging advancements in genomics and bioinformatics, it is possible to develop treatments tailored to each patient’s individual characteristics, considering not only their biology but also their cultural and social environment. This approach is particularly important for genetic diseases, degenerative conditions, and cancer, as it allows for more specific, effective, and respectful interventions that meet each patient’s needs. However, to make these innovations impactful, fostering global collaboration is crucial. In an increasingly interconnected world, biomedicine can serve as a bridge between nations and cultures. Working in multidisciplinary teams and sharing biotechnological knowledge enables joint efforts to tackle health challenges, such as developing therapies for contagious diseases, creating accessible treatments for dementia, and advancing cancer research. Additionally, designing culturally competent health programs ensures that solutions are effective and respectful of the values of the communities they serve. Finally, biomedicine must be guided by an empathetic approach that places the patient at the center of all research and practice. Actively listening to the needs and experiences of individuals not only improves the quality of treatments but also reinforces the role of science as a service to humanity. Furthermore, educating future healthcare professionals to view patients as whole individuals—considering not only their physical condition but also their mental and emotional well-being—is essential. In conclusion, biomedicine has the capacity to transcend the boundaries of science to become a driving force for social change. Through innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to equity, this discipline can build a more empathetic and understanding global community where health is a universal priority, and cultural or economic barriers are no obstacle to accessing care. By integrating these perspectives, biomedical professionals will not only heal bodies but also help bridge the divides between communities around the world.

    Pro-Life Advocates Scholarship
Good Morning My name is Luaned Ruiz My average is 3.9 GPA My pro-life stance is not a mere moral position; it is a conviction deeply tied to my personal history and vocation. My life has been marked by experiences that taught me the priceless value of every human being. The protection of life, from its conception, is not just a principle for me—it is a call to defend the most vulnerable and unprotected: the unborn. In my family, the tragedy of abortion left deep scars. My mother once faced a situation where my father forced her to abort a child, depriving me of a sibling who never came to be. This loss weighs heavily on my heart, serving as a constant reminder of the consequences of failing to defend life. However, my story also carries hope: when my own life was at risk, my mother fought to protect me. Thanks to her courage and unwavering love, I am here today. That decision not only saved me but also inspired the purpose that now drives me—to work for the dignity and protection of all life. My physical condition has also profoundly shaped my perspective. I live with Turner syndrome, a condition that prevents me from having biological children. While this reality has been difficult to accept, it has deepened my appreciation for the miracle of life. Not being able to become a biological mother has motivated me to advocate for the unborn, who are entirely dependent on others for their survival. My condition is not a limitation—it is a driving force, inspiring me to contribute to the world through medical advancements, biomedicine, and scientific work that aims to save lives. I firmly believe that life begins at conception and that every child deserves the opportunity to enter the world under the best conditions—with love, care, and responsibility. Life at conception is a separate, unique life, and no human has the right to take it away. Society has a duty to educate and support individuals to prevent unwanted pregnancies, helping those who cannot have children make responsible decisions. Adoption gives children the chance to grow in loving environments and brings hope to families longing to welcome a child. Through my specialization in public health, I aim to raise awareness and provide education to foster a culture of care, responsibility, and respect for life. I believe that by addressing these issues with compassion and practical solutions, we can save lives while supporting both mothers and children. As an evangelical Christian, my faith guides my pro-life mission. I believe that God assigns sacred purpose and value to every life from conception. This belief inspires me to work toward a culture where life is celebrated as a divine gift. My faith gives me the hope and strength to overcome challenges in defending the unborn and supporting mothers in need. My commitment to the protection of life goes beyond words. I actively support scientific research, engage in constructive debates, and promote a culture of love and respect for life. I aim to create tangible solutions for mothers facing difficult situations, offering real alternatives to abortion while reminding the world of the infinite value of every life.

Innovators of Color in STEM Scholarship
My name is Luaned Ruiz, and I am passionately committed to education and making a difference through science. As a Latina, an American citizen, and a first-generation college student with a 3.9 GPA, I have overcome immense challenges to pursue my dreams. I have lived in Puerto Rico, Tampa, and Utah before returning to my beloved island, where I am currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in General Biology. My goal is to specialize in biomedicine and public health to develop treatments, therapies, and vaccines that can improve lives. From a young age, I was captivated by the mysteries of life, particularly genetics and medicine. My dream is to validate my biology coursework and transition to a Bachelor’s in Biomedicine. Following that, I hope to pursue a Master’s in Biomedicine and, if possible, specialize in Public Health. Eventually, I aim to pursue a doctorate, as I am deeply driven to contribute to advancements in medicine and public health. My path has not been easy. Growing up, my father was abusive, creating a fearful and isolating environment. I wasn’t allowed to play, dress, or act freely, and I carried emotional and physical scars. Leaving his control marked the beginning of my independence, but new challenges arose. My brother, who opposed my education, resorted to physical violence to stop me from studying. He even took the house my family had built together, leaving me to care for my grandmother and mother under increasingly difficult circumstances. My grandmother, Ángela Correa Mojica, suffered from senile dementia, and my mother experienced a debilitating stroke that left her physically disabled. As their caregiver, I worked tirelessly to protect and support them while managing my studies. Despite the obstacles, I was determined to create a better future for us. Adding to these challenges, I live with 22q11.2 duplication syndrome, which causes muscle dysplasia and makes physical tasks difficult. For years, I walked an hour to and from university daily, pushing through pain and fatigue because I knew my education was the key to building a better life. Despite these hardships, I earned an associate degree in Health Services Coordination through online studies. However, my passion lies in biomedicine. I chose General Biology as my foundation because it provides a deep understanding of life’s complexities, preparing me for the rigorous study of human health and diseases. My dream is to bridge the gap between science and medicine, creating solutions that improve lives. I am deeply motivated by the memory of my grandmother, who instilled in me the values of resilience and sacrifice. Her love and guidance continue to inspire me every day. Although I no longer have the ability to have children of my own, I find purpose in caring for my mother and honoring the promises I made to my grandmother. With the support of my husband, who has been my anchor through every struggle, I remain committed to my education and my dream of contributing to society through science. I hope to inspire others facing adversity to never give up on their goals, no matter how insurmountable the challenges may seem. In closing, I dedicate my journey to my grandmother, Ángela Correa Mojica. Her strength, love, and sacrifices guide me as I pursue my dreams. I miss her every day, but I know she is proud of the person I am becoming. My commitment to biomedicine and public health is not just about personal success; it is about leaving a legacy of scientific progress and compassion for others.
Jennifer and Rob Tower Memorial Scholarship
My name is Luaned Ruiz I have a 3.9 GPA and I study general biology. I am the first in my family to go to college and I am from a low-income background. I learned the power of kindness and resilience early in life. I am currently a biology student, pursuing a path toward becoming a biomedical scientist. My journey is driven by a deep desire to leave a legacy of positive change in the world. While science and medicine have captured my intellectual passion, it is my commitment to helping others that defines who I am. One of the most meaningful instances of kindness in my life came during my work with underprivileged children in my neighborhood. I volunteered to tutor them in science, mathematics, and literacy, providing not only academic support but also emotional encouragement. Many of these children lacked guidance at home, and I recognized how small acts of compassion—offering a listening ear or encouraging them to dream big—could spark their belief in themselves. Seeing their excitement when they improved their grades or grasped a new concept was one of the most fulfilling moments of my life. Additionally, I have been active in organizing donation drives for local families in need, particularly during the holiday season. By rallying my community, I helped provide meals, clothing, and school supplies to those who otherwise would have gone without. These experiences taught me that kindness is not only about the act itself but about inspiring others to join in and amplify its impact. Another significant pattern of kindness in my life involves supporting my family. As someone who grew up in a household with limited resources, I understand the challenges that many families face daily. I have helped care for younger relatives, ensuring they receive the guidance and support they need while I pursue my own education. Balancing these responsibilities has strengthened my sense of empathy and deepened my resolve to use my future career in biomedicine to help solve global health issues, particularly for underserved populations. My dedication to kindness is inseparable from my academic ambitions. I have a vision of becoming a biomedical scientist who contributes to breakthroughs in the understanding and treatment of complex diseases. Yet, my ultimate goal is broader: to use my scientific work to create a healthier, more compassionate world. I believe that kindness is as vital in science as it is in everyday life, whether through mentoring future scientists, conducting research that prioritizes equity, or giving back to communities through public health initiatives. I am honored to apply for the Jennifer and Rob Tower Memorial Scholarship, as it aligns with the values I hold dear. Kindness has the power to change lives, and I am committed to continuing my journey of spreading compassion, inspiring others, and leaving a legacy that embodies the spirit of this. My goal is to leave a legacy in scientific medicine and public health research that involves various treatments and pathologies that today have no cure. In honor of my deceased grandmother, who I took care of since she fell ill with senile dementia, I know that she takes care of me from heaven. I want to do something useful for society and contribute. A Commitment to Kindness: My Path to Impacting Lives My life has been defined by a desire to make a positive difference in the world, especially by supporting those in need. From a young age, I understood that the value of a person lies not in what they possess but in what they share. This understanding led me to commit to acts of kindness that have helped others overcome challenges in their lives. A significant moment in my life was when I dedicated time to helping vulnerable individuals facing emotional and economic difficulties. I realized that many of them just needed a helping hand, someone to listen to them and offer hope. Through small gestures, such as providing words of encouragement, sharing essential resources, or simply being present, I witnessed how their lives began to change. I learned that kindness, while seemingly simple, has the power to profoundly transform someone’s day-to-day life. Additionally, as a biology student, I have used my knowledge to educate and empower others, particularly on topics related to health and well-being. Whether it’s sharing information about healthy habits or explaining scientific concepts in an accessible way, I have always believed in the importance of using what I know to benefit my community. These experiences have reinforced my belief that kindness is a transformative force. I am convinced that each act of compassion creates a ripple effect, inspiring others to do the same. By applying for this scholarship, I hope to continue this legacy of generosity and to keep impacting lives, guided by the values that have always defined me: love, empathy, and a commitment to a better world. It is an honor for me to be a bridge between medicine and science and to contribute to medical advances.

    Women in Healthcare Scholarship
My name is Luaned Ruiz, and I am dedicated to education and improving society. I maintain a GPA of 3.9 and am the first in my family to attend university. I am currently pursuing a degree in General Biology with plans to specialize in molecular biomedicine. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by biology, genetics, medicine, and public health. These interests have inspired me to seek scientific solutions that can improve people’s lives. My interest in medicine and health is personal. I was born with a rare chromosome duplication on chromosome 22 and diagnosed with hypotonia, a condition that affects muscle strength. This condition sparked my desire to better understand how genetic factors influence health. This knowledge has motivated me to seek advancements in biomedicine that can offer solutions to significant medical challenges. In addition to these personal health challenges, I have faced the responsibility of taking care of my family. I have been the primary caregiver for my mother, who became disabled after suffering a stroke, and my grandmother, who had senile dementia. They both depended on me for their care, and I worked tirelessly to ensure their safety, nutrition, and well-being. My mother raised me alone, without external support, and I made sure to be her strength and support at all times. Losing my grandmother was one of the most challenging moments of my life, but I am proud to have been by her side. Her resilience and strength continue to inspire me. Caring for her, despite the challenges, was a rewarding experience that strengthened my commitment to health. My mother continues to be my priority, and I view caring for her as a privilege. Despite these challenges, I earned an associate degree in Health Services Coordination through online studies. This achievement reflects my perseverance and commitment to education, despite the obstacles I faced. Now, as I work toward my degree in General Biology, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to science and medicine. I am drawn to molecular biomedicine because it aligns with my passion for understanding how biological and genetic factors impact human health. This field combines rigorous biological study with practical solutions to medical challenges. I believe my experiences caring for my family have given me a unique perspective on the importance of compassionate, evidence-based approaches to healthcare. Throughout my journey, my grandmother, Ángela Correa Mojica, has been my greatest inspiration. Her love, strength, and wisdom shaped me into the person I am today. I strive to honor her memory through my education and my commitment to helping others. Although I am unable to have children, I see my role as a caregiver to my mother as an opportunity to nurture and protect someone who gave me everything. I am determined to keep my promise to care for her, just as I cared for my grandmother. These experiences have strengthened my resolve to succeed in my studies and contribute meaningfully to society. In addition to my academic goals, I am passionate about STEM fields, particularly the intersection of biology, genetics, and medicine. I believe education is a powerful tool for creating change, and I hope to inspire others who have faced challenges like mine to pursue their dreams. My ultimate goal is to advance in the field of molecular biomedicine. Whether through research, collaboration, or application, I want my work to contribute to the well-being of humanity. This journey is not just about personal achievement—it’s about making a meaningful difference and honoring the sacrifices of those who supported me along the way.

My name is Luaned Ruiz, and my journey has been one of perseverance, faith, and resilience. I grew up facing many challenges, but my faith has always been the foundation that helped me overcome them. From a young age, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to science and helping others.Today, I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in General Biology, with the ultimate goal of earning a degree in Biomedicine and specializing in Public Health. I hope to contribute to advancements in medicine, creating treatments and solutions to improve lives. Growing up in Puerto Rico, my life was anything but easy.My father was abusive, and his control over my life created an environment of fear. I wasn’t allowed to play like other children or express myself freely. My schoolmates noticed the bruises, but at the time, I didn’t understand what abuse was. As I grew older, I realized the magnitude of what I had endured. Escaping my father’s control didn’t end the challenges.I found myself in another abusive situation with my older brother, who was 12 years my senior. He opposed my education and often resorted to physical violence to discourage me. He even stole the house that my grandmother, mother, and I had built together. Despite this, I remained determined to continue my education and protect my family. For years, I cared for my grandmother, who suffered from dementia and a mental disability, and my mother, who had a stroke that left her physically disabled. They depended on me, and I took it upon myself to shield them from my brother’s actions. While this responsibility was overwhelming, it was also my motivation. In addition to these personal challenges, I have a medical condition called hypotonia, which is caused by a chromosome 22 duplication syndrome. This condition affects my muscle tone and makes physical tasks more difficult. Despite this, I walked an hour to and from the university every day. The journey was physically taxing, but my determination and faith pushed me forward. There were times when frustration and exhaustion threatened to overwhelm me. It often felt like when one obstacle was resolved, another would appear. However,I held on to my faith, reminding myself that God has a plan for all of us, even when we can’t see it. I believe that God allows challenges in our lives to guide us toward blessings. I have seen this in my own life—every hardship has prepared me for something greater. I earned an associate degree in Health Services Coordination, but I felt a deeper calling toward biomedicine. I wanted to understand the complexities of human biology to make a meaningful impact in medicine. My current studies in General Biology are the foundation for this dream. Faith has been my anchor throughout this journey I’ve come to understand that frustration is a normal part of life, but we must hold on to faith, especially during difficult times.I remind myself that there are people facing greater struggles, and I’ve seen firsthand how God protects and provides. I no longer cry out of sadness but out of joy and gratitude.God has shown me that every challenge has a purpose. My grandmother, Ángela Correa Mojica, taught me resilience and the importance of faith Her love and guidance continue to inspire me.Though she has passed,I feel her presence and know she is proud of the person I am becoming. Through my studies and future work in biomedicine and public health,I hope to honor my grandmother’s legacy and fulfill God’s purpose for my life. My faith reminds me that even in the darkest times, there is always hope and a path forward.

Good morning my name is Luaned Ruiz.I am 35 years old .I am in my second year of biology and I can say it is never too late or impossible.I want to give hope that dreams can come true.Since I was a child I was not a traditional student,I suffered from bullying because of the abusive behavior my father had towards me, and I was never able to manage like a normal girl or do what a normal girl does,I was in a bubble without malice, like the world is.I always had good grades despite moving and my father had me in school.I only lived with my mother until second grade. Then my father took me away from him for hurting him. When in ninth grade my father took me out of school I loved to study and there was no way to study like that when I left.God is so good that my mother and grandmother lived nearby, they took me out of there,I took my free exams.I spent time reviewing.I always knew how intelligent I was and my learning was different but I didn't know how many things that a normal person can't understand I understood under more difficult and complicated concepts and terminologies.I loved biology but I was afraid to take math,I was brave,I prepared.Nothing is impossible, the sky is the limit.I was late because my own brother would not let me study because of jealousy and envy because he did not want to study or do anything with his life. That time after passing the free exams I could not study,I received blows from him,I was very young and still a coward.I had to protect my mother and grandmother from his abuse.Very young I had to take care of my grandmother with senile dementia and my mother with a stroke.one with a mental disability,my grandmother and my mother with a physical disability. It was difficult when my brother left us on the street a house that the 3 of us built without having a car, working rotating shifts, also doing all the paperwork and taking them to the doctor, keeping an eye on them, without anyone's help.Well, not having a car and limited time,I studied health services coordination,an associate's degree late when I could in life,I took advantage of the moment. But I didn't want to settle for that.My goal is to do a master's or doctorate. If I can, I'll do my passion, molecular biomedicine, and specialize in public health.I am very happy to be able to study what I love.I have always loved science and medicine.Be a bridge between medicine and science.I love genetics.I love reading and writing. For me it is a hobby to be useful to society.Without health there is nothing, much less an aging disease.Quality of life.Without biomedical experts there are no doctors,no studies,no research.Help contribute to doctors through the scientific method. help contribute to doctors through the scientific method. It's never too late, you can always do it.It's never too late to overcome life's obstacles and do what you love.My goal is to study biology online to have a deeper knowledge of living beings.Validate credits for biomedicine and do a master's degree in molecular biomedicine and public health .I want to seek treatment for duplicated chromosome 22 since I have EDE syndrome and help people who suffer from it like me.Before entering biomedicine,be well prepared.I'm already taking biomedical classes and master's degrees, even though I'm working,I hope to do them in person.I'm arranging transportation, adjusting work schedules, excited about this stage, although I'm really enjoying this stage, the path.I am perseverant and responsible for life's obstacles.I value the opportunities that others see as normal. thanks to everyone.

    Expression in Medicine Scholarship
My name is Luaned Ruiz, The Importance of Freedom of Expression in Medicine Freedom of expression plays a vital role in medicine as it drives scientific progress, ethical discussions, and continual improvement in healthcare. In a field where lives are at stake, the ability to share ideas, findings, and concerns openly is essential for ensuring evidence-based practices, innovation, and fairness. To begin, freedom of expression enables medical professionals and researchers to challenge existing paradigms and develop new treatments. Many groundbreaking advancements, such as antibiotics or vaccines, were born from ideas that went against established norms. Limiting this freedom stifles innovation and can perpetuate harmful practices. Additionally, healthcare professionals must have the right to voice ethical concerns and address unsafe practices. This includes raising awareness about harmful drugs, inadequate working conditions, or policies that negatively affect patient care. Silencing these voices risks prioritizing organizational or political interests over public health. Moreover, freedom of expression is crucial for building trust between doctors and patients. Physicians need the ability to communicate openly and compassionately, providing clear information about diagnoses, risks, and treatment options. This transparency empowers patients, fosters trust, and supports informed decision-making. Ways to Safeguard and Strengthen It Medical professionals have a duty to protect freedom of expression within their field. One way is by advocating for regulations that safeguard their right to share ideas, raise concerns, and publish findings without fear of retribution. This includes supporting whistleblower protections and ensuring the independence of scientific organizations. Another approach is fostering a culture of open dialogue within medical institutions, universities, and research facilities. Leaders in healthcare must encourage spaces where diverse opinions can be shared and debated without fear of censorship, even when they challenge conventional thinking. Lastly, those in the medical field can use their platform to educate the public on why freedom of expression is crucial in healthcare. This involves countering misinformation, promoting transparency in public health policies, and advocating for scientific literacy. In summary, freedom of expression is indispensable in medicine as it fuels advancement, upholds ethical standards, and strengthens doctor-patient relationships. Healthcare professionals can defend this principle by supporting fair policies, cultivating open discussions, and educating the public to ensure that medicine continues to progress for the betterment of society.

Good Morning , My name is Luaned Ruiz My passion is biomedicine, being the bridge between science and medicine. Being the knowledge for doctors. Without us, there are no doctors or treatments. We are the beginning, the scientific field. I love science and medicine. Health is the most important thing; without it, there is nothing. In a population with more elderly people, doctors need the helping hand of biomedical scientists. I aim to contribute health, treatments, and vaccines; quality of life is my vocation. My grandmother died of senile dementia. I intend to contribute to that condition and others, making people’s lives better. I believe it is a vocation with love, but with great responsibility, to contribute to health from the scientific field. I have always been clear about what I wanted; I was meant for this, but the journey—well, you have to enjoy every step. It’s not easy. My goals are to work in a pharmaceutical company and pursue university studies for the future, to teach and create leaders in the field, just like those who did for me. I want to contribute to public health. I plan to finish my biology degree, specialize in molecular biology, and focus on public health. I have enjoyed the entire journey—time and responsibility have brought me good things. It helps me forget about difficult situations. I know that my grandmother, from heaven, will be proud of me. And she will see that I make the most of the opportunities with my talent for science. Although it sounds repetitive. I was able to prove that it is possible, despite the adversities. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.The sky is the limit. I think that opportunities have to be sought, they don't come on their own and they will always say no to you and say yes to you. But the more you try, the more you perfect all your skills and the more you search, the more opportunities you will have. I am a person who likes to read and learn about everything. I have loved studying since I was a child. I always wanted to be useful and contribute greatly to the lives of others. It is very important to me, with my abilities, to leave a mark in history, like other scientists whose legacy and discoveries are still being taught today. I believe that one never stops learning. I enjoy my vocation as a hobby. thanks to all

Good morning, my goal is to have a master's degree in public health and biomedicine. I am a biology student. I love my career, I enjoy it. I believe that perseverance, managing time, reviewing, reading is important. I write everything down. I think I like assignments early because I finish faster, I concentrate and focus, I can better understand what I'm reading. Eating well is important. I get my hours of sleep and supplements. I love science and health. I do not manage patients directly. But I give knowledge to the doctor. Everything starts in biomedicine. If there is no doctor, help, contribute, be useful, help with medications and vaccines, help analyze them and create. It is wonderful to be the bridge between the doctor and science to help the patient. It is beautiful to have a career that you are passionate about, and without health we have nothing. And moreover, an increasingly aging population does not mean better health. I think that I had my goals very clear since I was a child, it is the way to contribute to society, I want to dedicate this success to my grandmother, she died of senile dementia, although my brother took advantage of her senile dementia, I was able to get my mother ahead on my own, we love her but it was very sad to see her decline more. I think that each step is a way to reach the goal, I enjoy the process, I think that studies made me move forward despite personal problems. I went through a difficult situation, my mother evicted me but we were able to get ahead, it was difficult to leave the house, my grandmother did it for us with a lot of love, but I learned to let go and I can get ahead on my own, my intelligence, I have always had a good average. Nothing is enough for me, happiness, I have loved genetics since I was a child, maybe because inside I knew I suffered from 2 syndromes, being able to find treatment and cure myself makes me happy, saving lives and giving a better quality of life to others. I value things because it has cost me more, although it seems repetitive, what I have lived, that the best is not easy and the sky is the limit, you can do study what you want if you want.

My grandmother had senile dementia, I always liked science and medicine, I realized my thing was biomedicine. I want to do a study on senile dementia. I could hardly enjoy it, she has little family that I have, her and my mother were always there for me to see all the abuse that my brother went through, how she deteriorated. It was difficult, it is an illness that consumes a lot of the family with the responsibility that my brother, in addition to mistreating her, took advantage of her and could leave her on the street and my elderly mother incapacitated, the government never helped me. and when she left a lot of responsibility, my grandmother had a mental illness and my mother had a physical illness, so I had to mature a lot, forget about having a child or what I wanted, I did it with great pleasure, that's what I take with me, beautiful memories still, my mother is still carrying me, thank God, my brother is far away, free from abuse, he already sold the house, we are in the process of the first eviction hearing because my brother sold the house, already with my mother and my grandmother, building so much love, the 3 of us very united, but my grandmother left me that treasure, she will never lack anything nor will I stop protecting. I know that my grandmother would never let my mother, her only daughter, abandon her. contributing to biomedicine, to the knowledge that doctors can diagnose and treat the patient, being the branch in the laboratory, the beginning of medicine, makes me feel useful, continue learning. My grandmother marked my life a lot, she died without her grandson regretting giving him love or being there during his illness or his care. I am persevering, I always remember her, it was difficult to see her in such poor health in the last few months, she had senile dementia for 15 years. Despite the obstacles that personal life puts in my way, my desire to be a great university student, to study and to be a professional, the obstacles that I have gone through in life make me value something that others achieve, which is normal. Studying, being a professional, a good, responsible worker, makes me very happy. My mother sees me where I have come and my grandmother from heaven, who has always believed in me.

I feel happy, proud and somewhat useful, a lot of responsibility, I want to dedicate myself to biology, that's what I think to study the area of biomedicine, to be the can of science and medicine that I love so much, the 2, that doctor who is the beginning of everything in the laboratory gives the knowledge to the traditional doctor so that he can diagnose, we give the treatment without biomedicine, there are no doctors and medicine does not advance sometimes we do not give as much importance as the traditional doctor. My goals are molecular medicine and genetics. and to do my master's in public health, keep up my grades, finish biology to take the classes I am missing in biomedicine. In my family I will also be the first to choose science and medicine. I will dedicate all my achievements, thank God, in honor of my grandmother who died of senile denial, to contribute in something. I always liked the biological sciences and medicine, I thought I wanted medicine. I was very young, I did not know about biomedicine but I realized that I did not want to be the traditional doctor, see patient. If not to be that helpful hand that the patient does not see, I love to investigate the laboratory, I am very curious, I love to be up to date, reading, studying, always learning. I realized that I love biology and medicine, what I loved was that mix, biomedicine, how biology helps medicine on a daily basis. contribute to health because without health we have nothing. making medicine or finding a cure for something vaccines is incredible I think biomedicine is a beautiful branch of biomedicine. I would like to do a study of senile dementia for my grandmother and duplicate chromosome 22 since I have that condition.I have that duplicate condition 22. I have many interests, I have always been very responsible and studious, good grades and I really want to be a professional. Life has put many obstacles in my life as a person that has delayed my university and professional lives and my dreams, but every day I am closer and I am proud of myself. It is a commitment, I owe it to my deceased grandmother and my mother who did everything for me, a sacrifice. I am very excited and happy about this path, the best is never easy, a lot of sacrifice has been worth this university adventure. I will give my best.
