I am inspired by the people around me each and every day. I am inspired by the nurses I saw facing down the coronavirus pandemic during my hospital communications internship. I am inspired by the small-business owners I assisted during my internship with a local chamber of commerce. I am inspired by the seniors I write each week through Letters Against Isolation. I am inspired by the people of my hometown and the students that surround me each day at my college. I credit the people of my hometown, Thomasville, GA, for making me the man I am today. Thomasville is located just above the Florida border in deep Southwest Georgia. It is a small community, but one with great heart. It is my goal to return to Thomasville and make a difference in the lives of the people who made me who I am. To accomplish that goal, I am currently enrolled in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia. There, I am pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and a Master's Degree in Communications concurrently. In addition to the roles mentioned on this page, I am involved with the University of Georgia Homecoming Committee and the Public Relations Student Society of America. I have been awarded the United States President's Volunteer Service Award. I am a UGA Presidential Scholar and a Zell Miller Scholar. I am currently working towards the Congressional Medal. I believe in the power of effective communications work and the practical difference it can make in people's lives everyday. I sincerely appreciate your in help making my goals a reality.
