Bio

No one in my family has gotten their bachelors, so I want to prove to them and everybody else that I have what it takes to be successful in life. With that being said, I’m a high school senior with a clear vision for my future. Throughout my time in high school, I’ve worked hard to be where I am today, and I want to go further academically. Whatever I do, I will always give back, things like taking on leadership roles in school clubs, volunteering in my community, or staying active with sports, I will strive to push myself beyond my limits. I believe that success comes from hard work, perseverance, and constantly striving to improve. It’s not just about the grades, it’s about understanding, determination, and the willingness of making mistakes. My passion for learning controls me to seek out new opportunities, and I’m always looking for ways to grow and prepare myself for what comes next.

I’ve always been interested in how things work, which is probably why I want to be an engineer. Ever since I was a kid, I loved messing around with things, taking stuff apart, and figuring out why things worked the way they did. There was this one time I took apart the living room tv remote, and I forgot how to put it back together. Let’s just say my parents weren't amused. Anyways, I enjoy problem-solving and coming up with creative ways to fix things, and engineering lets me do that in a way that can actually help people. What excites me the most is knowing that engineers do a lot of things in the world, whether it’s designing buildings that are safer, creating new technology, or making life better for others. One of the reasons I’m so interested about engineering is because it’s all about solving problems, and these problems could be real or fake. Engineers help design things like roads, bridges, medical devices, and even the technology we use every day. No matter what type of engineering I decide on going into, I know I’ll be able to make a difference in the world, I'm determined to. In the future, I want to use these skills to give back to the people. One day, I want to help students and people get interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), to show that it is fun and captivating. I want to show them that engineering isn’t just about math and science, it’s about creating things that can change the world, to help live a better life. With that being said, I’d love to volunteer at schools or community programs to help people explore engineering in a way that is fun and understandable. Another way I’d love to give back is by working with organizations that bring engineering solutions to people in need. Groups like Engineers Without Borders help build clean water systems, safer housing, and better technology for communities that don’t have access to them. It would be amazing to be part of a project that helps individuals around the world live better lives. Overall, I’m excited about becoming an engineer, it gives me the chance to be creative, solve problems, and help others. I want to use my knowledge to make a real impact, whether that’s in my own community or in places that need it the most. Engineering isn’t just about designing things, it’s about the people, and that’s why I’m passionate about it.
