I grew up in the Northwoods, and stay active in sports like dance, cross country, and track, as well as clubs and organizations like the National Honors Society, Character Education, Spanish Club, and Class Board. I love animals and plan to major in Animal Science with the goal of stepping into the agricultural management industry. I'm planning to attend UW- River Falls this upcoming fall to further my education. I look forward to continuing my personal growth and gaining new experiences at this institution. My ultimate goal is to positively impact and enrich the community around me in any and every way I can.

Grateful for the Past; Moving Toward the Future
Education has always played a significant role in my life, as it has shaped my character as well as my goals for the future. Overall, I am a committed, goal-driven student seeking to achieve my academic and professional aspirations, and this scholarship would provide the support I need to turn those ambitions into reality. I am very involved in my school and community, and I am looking to continue that connection through my higher education.
Through a variety of different activities, organizations, and work experiences, I have been able to make an impact in my community and challenge myself to be the best individual I can be. I’ve become an active member of my community by volunteering and fundraising for a variety of clubs and organizations, including the National Honors Society. Furthermore, I have been involved in my church’s worship team by playing piano during services. Not only has this connected me to the community, but it has also allowed me to further develop my musical abilities. I’ve learned new skills and gained valuable perspectives in the professional world through my job as a waitress, and I’ve also recently started working at a veterinary clinic to gain experience in that field. Overall, through my involvement in a variety of sports, organizations, and work experiences I have been able to grow as a person and understand the importance of being an active member of my community.
During my upcoming years at UW-River Falls, I am eager to continue developing my current academic and career goals, while also creating new ones. I am looking forward to studying Animal Science and pursuing a career in that industry. In the future, I would like to get involved in the management side of agriculture. At this institution, I hope to take classes that will challenge me as well as expose me to new opportunities. I plan to take advantage of both academic and extracurricular opportunities while continuing to challenge myself with my coursework and embrace new experiences.
This scholarship would assist me in many ways. Most importantly, it would allow me to focus on using my education to contribute to the agricultural field and generate positive change. By having some financial relief, I would be able to focus more on academics, research, and service rather than the stress of tuition costs. I’ve recently gone through a terrible home-invasion, which has left my home and belongings destroyed and covered in tear gas. This event has prevented my family and I from living in our home to this day, and it has been an extreme financial burden. Any financial assistance throughout the college process would be incredibly helpful.
In closing, over the past few years, I have developed as a person through my involvement in different activities, community service, and work experiences. As I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone, I’ve been able to grow as an individual and become more involved in my community. Challenging myself in many ways, both educationally and professionally, has helped me better prepare for this next chapter of life at UW-River Falls. I am excited to continue learning, growing, and embracing new opportunities as I work toward a fulfilling career rich with meaningful life experiences. Any financial assistance goes a long way, and I sincerely thank you for your consideration.
