Ever since I was a kid I have been passionate about animals and football. I want to dedicate my life to helping animals stay healthy and giving their owners the knowledge and support they need to care for their pets. I am in the National Honors Society and my goals are to attend a 4 year college, a 4 year veterinarian school, then open my own practice after receiving my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. While this dream will take years of hard work and planning, I have already started my journey to become one. I am currently on my 4th year of the Veterinary Science program at the Keller Center of Advanced Learning (KCAL) and I am currently interning at the Trophy Club Animal Hospital in Trophy Club, Texas. The 4 years I have spent at KCAL and my time at the Trophy Club Animal Hospital have already taught me many things such as how to set up vaccinations , how to set up tests for patients, and how to collect tests samples from patients. I am able to assist with restraining animals while the doctor performs necessary test or procedures. I have been able to watch different surgeries to help gain insight on Veterinarian Medicine. I also actively Volunteer for Apollo Support and Rescue which is a dog shelter that has saved thousands of animals that found themselves alone and in distress. Ever since I wanted to become a Veterinarian I have pushed myself in school to make great grades and to stay on the right path to make my dream come true. Throughout high school the other thing I’ve been passionate about besides the Veterinary pathway is football. Football taught me how to be dedicated, resilient, teamwork and how to fight for what is yours. My freshmen year I was on freshmen A team and had a great season until the final game where I tore my ACL & both Meniscuses the drive after scoring a pic-six. After surgery, the rehab through weekly physical therapy was tough and took 3 months to walk and additional 6 months to start jogging again, but I continued to rehab all summer for my sophomore football season. I had a great first game of my sophomore season but the second game I injured the same knee while tackling the quarterback. Once again I had to have surgery on my ACL and my lateral meniscus with the recovery being even more painful the second time around. But I still rehabbed for 9 months with the goal of finishing out the last two years of high school football. I had a healthy and productive Junior season on junior varsity A and a healthy Senior season on varsity. The hours I spent rehabbing from my surgeries with weekly physical therapy and working out with my teammates taught me that you can achieve anything if you have a motivated mindset and put in the hard work. While becoming a Veterinarian is a big dream, I know I can achieve it through my motivated mindset . By staying dedicated and focused on my education and gaining as much experience as possible, I will be ready to pursue my goals and make a positive difference in the lives of the pets and their owners. Receiving this scholarship would be a huge step in the right direction of my Veterinarian career.

In the long term, I want to establish my own veterinary clinic. My vision is to create a place where animals receive top-notch medical care and owners feel comfortable asking questions and learning about their pet's health. I plan to offer a wide range of services, from routine checkups and vaccinations to more specialized care like surgeries and rehabilitation. To make this happen, I'll need to save a lot of money, apply for business loans, and carefully plan my clinic's budget. The starting clinic may cost around $600,000, including a renting space, buying equipment like X-ray machines, surgical tools, and hiring a small team and staff. Marketing will also be a big part of my plan. I want to create a welcoming website, stay active with social media posts, and help out with any local pet rescues. These efforts will help build a trust with the clients and hopefully help shed some light to local pet rescues. While this is a big dream, I know I can achieve it through hard work and my dedication. By staying focused on my education and gaining as much experience as possible, I'll be ready to pursue my goals and make a positive difference in the lives of the pets and their owners.
