Hi i'm Lizzie Dohn, a 2026 graduate of Ballard High School. I am excited to be attending Western Kentucky fall 2026. I'm the oldest of four girls love my big family. I enjoy being active, including school clubs, athletics, community choir and employment. I'm involved in One Voice Youth Choir which practices Aug-June & leads worship in song throughout the year, as well as a yearly multi-state singing and service retreat. I played field hockey all four years and served as team captain during my 9th and 11th grade season. Sports allowed me to be surrounded by some of my best friends and build relationships outside of my normal circle. This team challenged me to constantly become a better versions of myself. I've also enjoyed getting to work over the last four years as a Dining Room Service/Training Lead & Closer at Brownsboro Park Retirement Community, Resident Camp Counselor for the 2025 Summer Staff at Camp Loucon, and this school year for co-op as a Pre-School Assistant Teacher at Christ Church School. These three unique jobs have shown me how I can serve and learn from others. These jobs have helped me to build professional skills, demonstrate work ethic and allowed me to grow in financial Independence and responsibility by paying for my car insurance and saving for college tuition. For me, high school has been about maintaining a challenging class schedule, building life skills for independence and enjoying every right of passage that comes with high school. I cannot wait for what comes next after this year, and look forward to continued learning and growth.
