I would love to be a counselor, my friends and just people I know seem to come to me for long talks and advise. I was sitting in a counseling session of my own and we seem to really get along really well and we talked about everything and anything, having that trust with someone is such a great feeling! She turned to me and said , Lisa I think you should be a counselor, She thought I would be great at it. So here I am pursuing my career at 53 years old. Better now than never I guess, I have a lot of experience with life. Life hasn’t been easy for me, but I’ve learned along the way! I still have a journey a head of me. But for once in my life I set a goal and I’m doing it!

    Recovery well that’s a big word in my house! My relatives are a lot of drug addict s which is very sad. I wish they would find the right path and realize that drugs ruin their lives. Some say they are in recovery,We know they still use and are in denial themselves.I pray to god they will find their path to recovery.

    I just wrote my aunt who is a great woman how much I appreciate her and all she does for everyone! I thank god almost everyday for everything and everyone I have in my life! I live on a fixed income, but I feel Rich with the love from my girls!

    My husband died when my youngest daughter was 8 months old , from a drug overdose. I have raised 3 girls on my own! I had to be brave and act brave on a daily basis . Even if it hurt me inside to do so! I have to be bold and right to the point raising these girls! Life is to short to beat around the bush. It a hard life at times! I made it this far, it’s time to do me ! It took bravery to enemy think about applying to college at my age. I’m glad I did, I’m going through some trying times right now but I’m trying and that’s what matters!

    When I was younger I did not have any confidence nor etiquette! I started waitressing and realized that I needed both. So I went to modeling school to learn all of that. Not knowing exactly what it meant to me! Now I stand up straight, can talk to just about anyone, and feel really good about myself! When doubting I realize and tell my self things always work out for the best! So that was just the beggining of my self confidence! I know I would be a excellent counselor or who knows I may go further, things always work out like they are suppose to!

    When I was younger, I learned to say what I’m thinking, sometimes it was like putting my foot in my mouth! I did not want to hurt anyones feelings! But unfortunately I did at times!As I grew up, I just have to watch what I say so I don’t hurt anyones feelings! I am a true believer in the truth. So that’s how it all started . I speak my mind with the truth all the time.I can be brutally honest. So that’s my story.
