My life goals are to work for the greater good. I will be pursuing a degree in Graphic Arts at Laney College, Oakland CA. I hope to use my artwork to call attention to social and environmental issues that need to be collectively addressed. I am hardworking, honest, open-minded, curious, artistic, optimistic, investigative, kind, stubborn (at times), a mother, sister, daughter, and partner. Previously, I worked as a Social Worker and Patients' Rights Advocate. I have also volunteered in various non-profit settings. I enjoy stamp and book collecting, and horseback riding- One sub-goal that I have is that I'd like to start a non-hierarchical non-profit, (a collective), which rescues horses and rehabilitates them so they can be of service to individuals who would benefit from equine therapy. To do this I am hoping to receive funding from the USDA via their Beginning Farmer program. Thank you for your interest.
