Hello friend! My name is Claudia, and the four words that best describe me are service-driven, servant leader, knowledge/self-driven, and innovative. My prayer is to become a public health family nurse practitioner (DNP-FPc) with certifications in ABLM (American Board of Lifestyle Medicine), CNS (Certified Nutrition Specialist), CTrop. (Certified in Tropical Medicine), MCHES (Master Certified Health Education Specialist), and NBHWC (National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach). I am steadfast in my commitment to advocating for, serving and empowering marginalized communities, including BIPOC individuals and those experiencing homelessness. In addition to my clinical practice, I aspire to take on leadership roles, such as becoming a health and wellness director or serving in a leadership position within a health service organization. Ultimately, my dream is to establish a Lifestyle Medicine Clinic and Retreat in Ghana, West Africa, dedicated to treating individuals and families affected by chronic lifestyle-related diseases (like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiopulmonary diseases), as well as clinical cases of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) like malaria and leishmaniasis. Lastly, through my personal life experiences, I am dedicated to empowering youth by providing them with experiential opportunities that build confidence, help them discover their strengths and passions, and prepare them to succeed in their personal, professional, and academic pursuits, ultimately enabling them to positively impact their communities and contribute meaningfully to society.
