The thunderous roar of an NHL crowd isn't just about the game on the ice; it's about the stories being told, the passion ignited, and the future being shaped. I believe that future must be one where women stand proudly at the helm, proving that sports are not just for men, but women too. Pursuing a career in sports media and marketing, particularly with an NHL team, is an exciting ambition of mine. From the first game I ever attended back in 2021, I waws hooked. My goal is not only to excel in this field but also to inspire other girls to see that sports are not just for men; they can thrive in this arena too. This vision drives my passion to create a more inclusive environment in the industry.
The world of sports is often perceived as a male dominated field, with women frequently underrepresented in various roles. However, the landscape is changing, and I want to be at the forefront of this transformation. Since learning about hockey in 2017, I have seen the rise of women in sports grow beyond what I though was possible. In 2022 I realized that my passion for graphic design and photography could give me a career in the sport I adored. I started researching women in positions that I wanted to some day be in, and found some great role models. Many of which I have gotten to see grow from interns to full time employees, and I can only hope that one day I achieve the same thing. My aim is to not only do what I love for a sport that I love, but to also encourage other young girls to pursue their passion in sports.
In my journey, I hope to leverage the power of storytelling to connect with audiences on a deeper level. Through engaging content , social media campaigns, and community outreach, I plan to showcase the diverse voices within the sports community. This approach will hopefully not only attract a wider audience but also inspire young girls to believe in their potential. I want them to know that they can take on roles in sports media, marketing, and beyond, and that their contributions are valued and necessary.
Furthermore, mentorship plays a crucial role in fostering the next generation of female sports professionals. I aspire to one day engage with local community programs to share my experiences and encourage young girls to get involved in sports. By providing guidance and support, I could hopefully help them navigate the challenges they may face in pursuing their interests. I believe that representation matters, and by being visible in this field, I can show the women can excel in sports media and marketing.
Ultimately, my pursuit of a career in sports media and marketing with an NHL team is driven by a desire to make a significant impact and inspire other girls. By promoting inclusivity and celebrating the achievements of women in sports, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive landscape in the industry. My journey is just beginning, but I am committed to using my voice to empower future generations of female sports enthusiasts and professionals. Together we can redefine the narrative around women in sports and create a more inclusive environment for all.
