I am extremely passionate about being a veterinarian. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I was going to be a veterinarian, and I want to make that dream come true. I am applying for scholarships because my house is a one income household with 4 other people. My mom has worked very hard for all of us to be successful, but I know how much stress it will cause her to try and help me pay for college. Because of my situation I am applying to whatever scholarships I can. So I hope I win a scholarship for one of my dream colleges!!

Craig Family Scholarship
Ever since I was a little girl I have taken care of up to 20 animals daily. I immediately knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. Now as a young woman the fear of not being able to pursue those dreams is crushing, and terrifying. I know that since this is my dream job there are going to be many things that are going to try and stop me, but I am a hard worker and thrive on a hands on environment.
I have done 3 years of animal community work in my high school, along with taken veterinary science, and veterinary medicine for 3 years as well which is a hands on class where I get to clean the barn and transport animals from one pen to another. I learned to identify sicknesses in many animals as well.
I am in charge of feeding my own livestock and domesticated animals daily. Rain, snow, or sunshine, I make sure they are taken care of and getting probiotics if they are sick.
I know this is my passion and this is the route I'm going to go on because of my dedication at this age. My never ending dedication teaches me that I am worthy and smart enough to go to college. I have been told by my teachers and family that I am a natural born leader and I want to use those skills as a make my career out of this.
I currently live in a single income household with 4 other people and I know that I wont be able to afford the cost of out of state tuition on my own. I do not have enough saved up for 4 years of college, and a minimum wage job is not going to give me the money I need. I know that with a scholarship I can help myself get the degree I've always wanted and build the life I've dreamed of since I was a girl.
If I get this scholarship I am confident I will graduate the 4 year college with my bachelors degree and become a veterinary technician or a veterinary assistant.
