my name is Liani and I am a senior in high school. I am 17 and I plan to go to pastry school after I graduate High school. I have been baking/cooking since i was a kid and even have made a business at school from this. I make little cakes and sandwiches for my peers friends and teachers. I started with barely anyone buying from me but slowly as the year went by, my peers started to buy more from me. Even teachers and students from other grades. I bake and cook for others because I love seeing other people and making their day a little brighter. I hope even by them having simply a bite of my baked goods it will make their day a little bit better with a smile on their face. Just like how Ruby impacted his customers. Overall,I just love to bake and this is the first time in my life I have felt passionate about something. That is why I want to open a bakery of my own one day. I know now after reading Ruby's story that I will honor him by viewing baking more than making sweets but for a reason someone's day got a little better. I will honor Ruby by living his dream as if he were still here and will treat every cake or sandwich I make as if I were holding someone's heart. Because how I view baking is that I view baking as more than a sweet treat. I view it as making someone's day better. Everyone I know, asks me "Why do you love baking...it seems tiring and you have school.". Baking is my safe place and it's my place where I feel calm and collected. Baking is a whole other level of peace you are focused on one thing. Baking makes me happy, not only to make other peoples I love baking not only to make people happy but it calms me and makes me happy and even lifts my bad days into good days, which I would want to do that same to my customers. Overall, It will be an honor to hold Ruby legacy because he was more than a good baker but a man who made his customer's days better, which I will do for my customers any day of the week. I would want my sweets to be the reason someone smiled today or made their bad day less worse
