First and foremost, I want to make it abundantly clear that something, or rather someone has had an immense impact on the life, and His name is Jesus Christ! I am truly blessed to have found Jesus as my Savior in the year of 2020 in the midst of the “pandemic world” that we all dealt with. Jesus truly helped through the darkest times in my life… To go more into detail, I did not grow up in a Christian household, but I always grew up having a great interest in who Jesus was. Eventually, I let the Lord into my heart, and I never looked back, but it wasn’t like this when I was younger. Due to my non-Christian upbringing, I have found that I want to be there for other children that live in homes like mine, and help them learn academically, but also about Jesus! It truly makes me so excited to think about getting in front of a classroom of a bunch of 5 year olds, and being able to teach them about God’s beautiful design through everything! I am actually a teacher’s aide for one of the Junior Kindergarten teachers at my school! She is so impressive to me, and she has even written her own book about the Armor of God, in a way that is understandable to children! I have found this to be so incredibly inspirational and I hope to pursue a very similar path once I am a teacher one day! I am so truly thankful to the Lord that this scholarship even exists and this would just be such an amazing blessing to me, especially besucase I do come from a very low income family. To further explain, my parents are divorced, and my mom is currently unemployed for medical reasons… in other words we are living on child support from dad, and any additional support I receive from him when I am with him. In addition he also, struggles financially, because he has experienced a recent and significant pay cut due to the transfer of his company from one to another. All this to say, that I would truly be honored to receive this scholarship because it would most definitely be a source of relief for my family and I financially, and a source of excitement to be that much closer to getting a degree in something I am so ecstatic to pursue!
