Bio

As an ambitious and driven individual, I am passionate about pursuing a career in law. My experiences as an In-House Attorney for Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial and as Chief of Staff for Assistant Supervisor of Elections have allowed me to develop a range of skills, including critical thinking, public speaking, and effective communication. In addition to my legal interests, I have also gained valuable experience in task-prioritizing, marketing, and customer service through my roles as an Ambassador for Student Government Productions and a Sales Associate for Target Corporation. In my free time you can find me frequenting local coffee shops with a book in one hand and a vanilla iced latte in the other.

My journey to becoming an advocate for children's rights began when I was twelve. Volunteering at my local church, I saw firsthand the struggles and adversities faced by children from low-income communities. Their stories, their challenges, their unspoken needs and their unheard voices kindled a flame within me. Today, that flame is a burning passion to use my education in law to bring about positive change and justice for these children. My choice to pursue a bachelor's degree in English and Political Science at the University of Florida complemented with a minor in Sociology is a conscious step towards realizing this ambition. This combination of disciplines, focused on understanding societal structures, political systems, and the power of language, serves as a foundation for my future in law. It equips me with the necessary tools to not only navigate the complex legal system but also to advocate effectively for underrepresented and vulnerable populations. I am passionate about addressing and redressing the specific issue of children's rights. Children, often overlooked in legal frameworks, require specialized advocates who can protect their interests and ensure their rights are not trampled upon. I aim to represent these children, particularly those from financially and socially disadvantaged backgrounds, in legal matters that can drastically shape their futures. I aspire to be the advocate who ensures their voices are amplified, their rights safeguarded, and their best interests served in legal proceedings. Upon graduation, I plan to attend a law school renowned for its emphasis on family law and public interest law. The knowledge and training I will acquire from such an institution will be invaluable in equipping me to effectively champion the rights of children. This rigorous academic preparation, complemented with practical exposure through internships with organizations like “Lawyers for Children,” will help me translate my passion into actionable outcomes. But my aspirations extend beyond individual cases. My ambition is to influence systemic change and contribute to shaping policies affecting children's rights. By leveraging my legal expertise, I intend to challenge and champion legislation, raise awareness about child rights, and advocate for reforms that protect and promote children's interests on a broader scale. In sum, I am deeply committed to using my education in law as a tool for positive change. I believe that a law degree, paired with my passion for children's rights and advocacy, will be instrumental in my mission to provide a voice for the voiceless and effect meaningful change in the world. I have a long educational and professional journey ahead, but I am steadfast in my resolve and firm in my belief that I can make a difference in the lives of children who need it the most.
