I am a senior at Oakfield-Alabama High School in Genesee County, New York. Academically I am in AP classes and I take duel enrollment courses at Genesee County College in order to better my overall performance and path towards college. Not only do I academically challenge myself, I also find the time to balance 2 sports with all of the advance classes that I take. I am on the Varsity Basketball and Baseball teams. These teams have taught me the comradery that interacting with other people creates, discipline, and how fun it is to work towards a goal together. I am hardworking, emphatic, and always thrive to do the right thing. If classes at college get difficult, I know I will persevere. This scholarship would assist me in living away from home for the first time instead of commuting, a step in my life that I am both nervous and excited for. I look forward to this change as it will further develop me as a person and allow me the opportunity to fully immerse myself into campus life and my studies into people, human behaviors, and learning to treat the entire being.
