Bio

Early career healthcare professional with experience in behavioral health operations, project management, and quality improvement, currently serving as a Project Manager across a multi-site behavioral health organization. In this role, I work directly with executive leadership to drive system-level initiatives focused on operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and improving care delivery. My experience spans both frontline and strategic perspectives, having started in direct patient care as a Behavioral Health Technician and progressing into a leadership role supporting accreditation, licensing, and continuous quality improvement across multiple facilities. I am particularly interested in healthcare operations, strategy, and advancing equitable, high-quality care for underserved populations. I am currently a Master of Health Administration (MHA) student at the University of Southern California, where I continue to develop expertise in healthcare finance, policy, and systems transformation. ACHE Southern California LIFT Scholarship
My career goal is to become a healthcare executive dedicated to improving access, quality, and operational excellence for underserved communities. Through the Master of Health Administration program at the University of Southern California, I am developing the leadership, financial, and strategic skills necessary to lead healthcare organizations and drive meaningful change. Receiving the ACHE SoCal LIFT Scholarship would help alleviate the financial burden of graduate education, allowing me to further invest in professional development, networking opportunities, educational resources, and experiential learning experiences that will accelerate my growth as a healthcare leader. This support would enable me to focus on developing the competencies necessary to create sustainable improvements in healthcare delivery and organizational performance. One of my most notable accomplishments has been serving as a Project Manager across three behavioral health treatment organizations simultaneously while pursuing my graduate degree. In this role, I led CARF accreditation readiness efforts, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance projects, risk management activities, and operational improvements. Most notably, I helped Pace Recovery Center successfully achieve a Three-Year CARF Accreditation, the highest level of accreditation awarded by CARF, recognizing the organization’s commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This achievement required extensive coordination, policy development, staff engagement, documentation review, and performance improvement planning. I also serve as an Administrative Resident at Dignity Health St. Mary Medical Center, where I have supported the development and implementation of new service lines, including Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA) and Renal Denervation programs. Through business planning, financial analysis, market assessment, and operational strategy projects, I have contributed to initiatives designed to expand patient access to advanced cardiovascular services, improve clinical outcomes, and strengthen organizational performance. These experiences have strengthened my ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and translate strategic objectives into measurable results. My goals closely align with ACHE of Southern California’s mission to advance healthcare leadership excellence and improve the health of our communities. As a member of the ACHE SoCal Early Careerist Council, I actively support professional development, networking, and community service initiatives that help strengthen the next generation of healthcare leaders. Through ACHE, I have been able to learn from accomplished healthcare executives, build meaningful professional relationships, and gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing healthcare organizations throughout Southern California. In addition, I mentor undergraduate Health Care Administration students at California State University, Long Beach, providing guidance on graduate education, internships, career development, and leadership opportunities within healthcare. I believe strong healthcare organizations are built by leaders who invest in the growth and development of others. Balancing graduate studies, healthcare leadership responsibilities, and professional development has required resilience, discipline, and perseverance. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to serving diverse communities and investing in future healthcare professionals. Throughout my career, I hope to remain actively involved in ACHE, contribute to the advancement of the healthcare management profession, and lead organizations that deliver exceptional care, improve outcomes, and create lasting impact for the communities they serve.
