Hi! I'm Lauren Wang, a current senior at San Marino High School. As an aspiring physician, I am dedicated to obtaining an interdisciplinary education that will provide me a broad perspective on people's attitude and problems towards healthcare in order to be the most compassionate doctor I can be. Throughout high school, I have been able to deepen my passion for learning by taking numerous honors and AP courses and being concurrently enrolled at Pasadena City College. Through my participation in FIRST Robotics and Science Olympiad, I only continue to be more interested in diversifying the fields I am knowledgeable in as I work with a diverse pool of driven students. I am also dedicated to serving my community and helping those around me. Locally, I volunteer at many community events with missions ranging from spreading art from the community to helping a TK teacher during summer school. Beyond that, I have created fundraisers for my school’s robotic team and outside organizations, such as Camp del Corazon and Journey House. I also volunteer at hospitals under the Junior COPE Health Scholars Program, helping me understand an occupation in healthcare and continue serving those around me. I believe that my strong academics, leadership and communication skills, and passion to make a positive impact on the world makes me a strong candidate for scholarships. I am deeply grateful for any support I receive in pursuing my dream of becoming the boldest physician as I continue my journey at UCLA next year as a biology major. Thank you for considering me!
