Legacy is not how you lived, nor is it how or when you die. Legacy is the story, message, or lesson that you leave behind and everyone else sees, notices, and remembers. Everyone strives to leave a strong legacy. A legacy can be acquired in many different ways. Through your work in a job or as a volunteer or advocate. The legacy you want to leave behind is determined and sculpted by you as a person and we all have the choice of whether we will leave behind one that will last only a short time or as long as generations. Let's make one that we are proud of! Personally, my upbringing has impacted my life a bit. Growing up my parents were in and out of jobs and locations. This has shaped my view of several different types of jobs and career fields. I was able to see the demands of several careers and that eventually led me into STEM. I know that I want to do something science-related because I love to study in-depth and I know just how much a science degree can add to the economy as well as the overall success of the healthcare industry. I plan to break the cycle of jumping from job to job. I plan to find my passion and pursue it with burning haste. I know what I want to do and eventually, I may be lucky enough to leave the legacy behind that I have always wanted.
