Bio

I am a Seattle born, Wyoming raised, Nashvillian. I moved to Nashville in 2011 to pursue my music career, starting with a songwriting degree from Belmont University. Building a foundation on great songwriting, a strong music business background, and continuous artist development, I found my true calling in business development, entrepreneurship and branding as well as Real Estate sales, investing and development. Keeping my passion, my style and brand I had developed during my music career, I pivoted my focus. I have been accepted and am now enrolled at Vanderbilt University Owen School of Management, and I am looking forward to the incredible opportunities ahead of me.

    Austin Kramer Music-Maker Scholarship
Art is about passion, and making that passion understandable and discernible where language alone cannot has been one of the differentiating factors of the human experience since the beginning of known time. Making that passion tangible through multiple mediums and catalysts, even in unexpected or non-traditional manners, is my biggest musical artistic ambition. I live in the moment, I feed off of my own emotions and the raw emotions of whoever else is in the room. I let the guitar or piano paint the color the room is currently surrounded by and I try to live and write from that very place. I try to paint color on silence to say whatever that moment is needing most.

Art is about passion, and making that passion understandable and discernible where language alone cannot has been one of the differentiating factors of the human experience since the beginning of known time. Making that passion tangible through multiple mediums and catalysts, even in unexpected or non-traditional manners, is my biggest artistic ambition. My need for music cam from a hard history. Sexual abuse, physical abuse, mixed family and divorce, and the need to overcome and be resilient in a reality that was very dark. Songwriting, telling my stories and pasting color on silence became the only way I could transcend the world that I was surrounded by. Now on the other side of those trials, music has remained and continues to be a catalyst that allows me to bring shape to my emotion and portrays my perceptions. I have spent a lifetime as a musician. Writing songs and composing as early as seven years old, singing and learning music from the inside out has been one of my greatest joys. I have built a music career and started a music business built on that joy and that passion, and through the recent years have realized that as a woman, I have so much more to offer and accomplish than just trying to "make it" in the music industry. My passions revolve around connecting with people, growing and succeeding in business and entrepreneurial ventures, and developing more pathways that connect these worlds than I ever knew could be possible. I have just been accepted to Vanderbilt - Owen School of Management where I will be pursuing my MBA this fall. I have an undergraduate degree in songwriting and music business, and have spent the better part of my twenties blending my passion for music and my passion for business. There is so much room for growth and inspiration in the business and professional world, especially now as a woman! Being creative, compassionate, emotionally intelligent, empathetic and genuine can now go hand in hand with being fierce, magnetic, driven and powerful. My ultimate goal is to be a beacon and an example for women in all facets of life, and to prove that there does not have to be a choice between living passionately and living successfully. You don't have to be a starving artist or sacrifice part of yourself for a standard that can be changed. I want to prove that it is possible to give life and a voice to every side of you! I will be a force to be reckoned with in the business and consulting world, I will be a force of feminine empowerment in the music industry, in urban commercial development, as well as in the consulting industry.I will also continue to write, record, and release music that speaks in tangible ways that my words alone cannot.
