ABOUT ME I’m Latayia Allen ; born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia . I’m 21 years old and I graduated from Pebblebrook highschool in year 2020. I come from a struggling , single parent household. It was just me, my mom, and my little brother growing up . We were constantly going from couch to couch and floor to floor for as long as I can remember. I started working at a young age to help my mom pay the bills and when I wasn’t working I was watching and taking care of my little brother; so I never really had time for school. My mom just recently got her own apartment and is no longer struggling. CHOOSING THE PATH OF TRADE I chose the path of trade because I loved school but wasn’t able to attend everyday during the week , due to working and taking care of my little brother. I graduated year 2020 ; year of the pandemic, carrying a C average and a 2.5 Gpa. With my grades and my Gpa, I had no hope that a college would accept me, so I took the path of working . Now being 21 years old I’ve been serving at restaurants for a couple years and I do not plan on making it a career. I am finally interested and have time to further my education and start my career. I attend fortis college to be a dental assistant and class starts on Monday. My graduation date is October 25 , 2024 . Thanks for taking the time out to consider me and to read my story.
