COVID-19 has had a major impact on my life throughout my high school years. Such as death, my mental health and learning skills. COVID-19 is one of the most horrific experiences I have witnessed in my years. This tragedy has cost many casualties in my life. During the time we were released from school my mom, my sister and I all had caught COVID-19 twice. My mom being a nurse was a very difficult job for her to keep her household safe from this virus. We tried our best to stay clean and safe. However after all the effort we still caught the virus. After a month of Quarantining my beloved dog died from COVID-19. He was six years old and was the best thing that happened to me. I felt dreadful and angry at the world for letting this happen. Still I continued to try and look at life as a blessing but, 2 weeks later my grandmother died. The pain I felt was unbearable. My grandmother was my only friend. She was one of a kind. I threw myself away and became very depressed. I can’t eat or sleep. The two people that meant the world to me had just passed and I couldn’t do anything about it. Going into my Junior year my grades began to drop. I could not focus or understand the skills that were being given to me. I had missed a lot of learning skills from the previous year. I was worried about my future career as a veterinarian. I told myself “this shall pass” . I talked to my teacher’s about my loss in my family. They guided me through my tough times and I was more successful in school than I could imagine. I came out to be an Honor roll student. COVID-19 has and always will have an extreme brunt impact on my life but, everyone has struggles. It is up to them to make the most of it. My lost loved ones will forever be in my heart.

My goal in life has always been about helping others, not just humans but all creatures. Growing up, many people around me believed in prayer to get through life. This created my desire to help others and increased my love for animals. My goal of being a veterinarian means I could help animals through illness, abuse and neglect while helping support people who are dealing with mental or health concerns. Animals provide comfort and support to humans. Playing with a pet not only decreases stress, but they can also improve some health conditions and social skills. They bring a smile to those who feel sad and unhappy. being a veterinarian means I could help animals through illness, abuse and neglect while helping support people who are dealing with mental or health concerns. Animals provide comfort and support to humans. Playing with a pet not only decreases stress, but they can also improve some health conditions and social skills. They bring a smile to those who feel sad and unhappy. As a veterinarian, I can focus on helping animals who have experienced animal cruelty. It is wrong to inflict suffering on any living creature. Many animals are being abused every day and never get the chance to have a happy life. The statistics of animal abuse are rising more and more with each year that comes. The sadness, pain, and feelings animals have are all the same feelings that humans have when they are treated with cruelty, neglect, and abuse. Animal cruelty is a terrible crime that can lead to serious harm or even death of innocent animals. I want to help as many animals as I can. I value my intelligence the most. I am very smart. Even if I don’t know something I catch on fast. I feel like being smart is very important because I learn fast and A lot of people are very smart they just waste their talent. I personally don’t want to waste my talent. I also value my passion. If you don’t have a purpose in life how well you ever be successful. You have to have a passion for anything you go after. Because you well have a purpose as well. My purpose for going to Tuskegee University would help me with achieving my main goal in life, helping others. I want to help those who are in need of finding joy in their lives. Attending Tuskegee University would be my start to changing society by bringing humans and animals together by showing them how they can help each other with love and kindness. l am the future and I will succeed to make the world a better place.

The opportunity to enter Tuskegee University will help fulfill my personal goal of helping others by getting a degree in psychology and veterinarian medicine. Becoming a physiologist means I would help people with understanding their mental illness and other life challenges. Mental illness can be seen as a weakness or vulnerability. In a society that values strong men and women, any weakness is seen as a negative. Mental illness can have a significant impact on work, social life, personal relationships, and even willingness to seek treatment. I’ve always believed I was put here to help those who feel sad and depressed. I want to teach them these feelings are okay, and they are not being punished or something is wrong with them. I want them to know that it’s life and people are different.

Physiology is an experimental scientific discipline and is of central importance in medicine and related health sciences. It provides a thorough understanding of normal body function, enabling more effective treatment of abnormal or disease states. Mental illnesses are health conditions involving changes in emotion, thinking or behavior. Mental illnesses are associated with distress and/or problems functioning in social, work or family activities. Mental illness often has a 'ripple effect' on families, creating tension, uncertainty, stress and sometimes significant changes in how people live their lives. Different family members are likely to be affected in different ways. It's normal to feel a whole range of emotions, such as guilt, fear, anger and sadness. Rates of mood disorders and suicide-related outcomes have increased significantly among adolescents and young adults, and the rise of social media may be to blame. Mental health problems are on the rise among adolescents and young adults, and social media may be a driver behind the increase. Poor mental health influences people's relationships with their children, spouses, relatives, friends, and co-workers. Often, poor mental health leads to problems such as social isolation, which disrupts a person's communication and interactions with others. mental health has a huge impact on how people relate to others, make decisions, and handle stress. People’s ability to live fulfilling lives often depends on their mental health. This makes protecting and restoring mental health of immediate concern to public health professionals. Mental health problems frequently put financial and emotional strain on families. Individual family members may also struggle to cope with their own symptoms that require support, such as depression or sleeping problems. People with mental illness consume substances that harm their health at higher rates than people without mental health issues. Mental health issues can also lead to struggles at work. Mental health issues often reduce concentration, which can compromise a person’s productivity. If we worked together to stop this mental issues to decrease we could make society and the environment a better place to grow and live.
