Bio

FIRST OF ALL, I AM BOLD! My name is Larke Eslinger, and I am a freshman at San Jose State University majoring in Environmental Studies. My goal is to make a better world for ALL who live here. From developing sustainable water solutions for underserved communities to breaking barriers in aquatic sports, I am driven by a deep commitment to environmental justice and the belief that access to clean water, like opportunity itself, should never be a privilege. Balancing academics, athletics, and a ton of community involvement (food drives, coaching, tutoring, peer mentoring, and fundraising), I have embraced difficult challenges that shaped my dedication to advocacy, leadership, inclusivity, and excellence. I am a Division I water polo goalie with a 3.7 unweighted GPA. I am also an AP Scholar with Honor and have received College Board National African American Recognition. College is an extremely financial strain for me and my family. I've had to take out countless loans because I'm from Florida and don't qualify for in-state tuition or any California grants or state aid — so please pay it forward. Pretty please. 🙏 I know I can make a difference in this world and give voices to those typically silenced!
