Since my earliest memories, the pursuit of justice has been a burning passion within me, a guiding light that has illuminated my path toward a career in law. I am driven by an unwavering commitment to serving victims and ensuring they are empowered with knowledge of their rights, particularly in cases of domestic abuse, rape, and sexual assault. The desire to be a voice for the voiceless, to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves, has been the cornerstone of my aspiration to practice law. Growing up, I wished I could have been this person for my mother, who experienced domestic abuse, sexual assault, etc. She was unaware of her rights and access to legal resources that could have protected her, my sister, and me. Since then, I have vowed to be a pillar of strength and advocacy for those in similar positions as she was. Moreover, my passion for serving justice extends to a particular focus on juvenile justice. I am acutely aware of the vulnerabilities faced by young individuals caught in the throes of the legal system, often due to their environments, societal pressures, or familial circumstances. I fervently believe that every young person deserves a chance at redemption, an opportunity to break free from the cycle of their past and forge a brighter future. In pursuing juvenile justice, I aim to provide these youths with the necessary tools and resources to navigate life's challenges successfully. Whether through legal representation, advocacy, or mentorship programs, I am committed to equipping them with the skills and support they need to overcome adversity and realize their full potential. By addressing the root causes of delinquency and offering alternatives to incarceration, I aspire to break the cycle of despair and pave the way for a more just and compassionate society. With both my parents constantly in and out of jail and court, it was easy to fall into a similar cycle. I was blessed enough to have teachers and adults around me who helped me find a life better than my parents were experiencing. I wish to do the same for youths who are in similar or worse situations than I was. My resolve to become a lawyer and advocate for the marginalized and vulnerable has only strengthened with time. From a young age, I recognized legal representation's profound impact on individuals and communities. It is a privilege and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. As I embark on this journey, I am guided by a steadfast commitment to serving justice and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
