I had mental health issues growing up, they don’t really go away that easily either. It made it hard for me to have faith in my future or in myself. Every choice felt overwhelming at times due to anxiety, self-doubt, and uncertainty. Many of my peers seemed to have a clear idea of what they wanted to do with their lives, but I was never sure if I could find my own way. I was concerned that I would never find a profession that would genuinely satisfy me. I didn't give up on myself in spite of those difficulties. I started utilizing my difficulties as inspiration to keep going forward rather than letting them define who I was. I let myself to pursue a variety of interests when I started college at Florida State University rather than feeling under pressure to know everything right away. I learned a crucial lesson from that journey: as long as you keep moving in the direction of your desired future, it's acceptable to not have everything worked out. I became passionate about skincare and dermatology around that time. I came to the realization that I wanted to work in a field that combined science, empathy, and the capacity to make others feel good about themselves. I had never had a sense of purpose like I did after coming to that conclusion. My current objective is to work as a dermatology physician assistant so that I may treat patients and significantly improve their self-esteem and general wellbeing. My aspirations don't end there. Additionally, I want to create my own skincare line that encourages people of various backgrounds to have good skin and self-confidence. My experiences have taught me that self-confidence frequently starts with how we feel about ourselves, and I want my future profession and business to enable people to feel good about themselves. I will be able to have an even bigger influence on my community by combining health care with entrepreneurship. The challenges I've encountered have strengthened my fortitude, compassion, and willpower. I learned tenacity from my difficulties with mental health. I learned patience from my uncertainty. Above all, they showed me that success isn't about having the ideal route; rather, it's about keeping going even when it's unclear where you're going. I no longer use the uncertainties I formerly experienced to define who I am. Instead, my will to create a future that embodies my goals and passions defines who I am. My dedication to my studies stems from the conviction that every obstacle I have surmounted has equipped me to provide genuine and compassionate service to others. Finding the ideal strategy wasn't my turning moment. It was realizing that the first step in building one was to believe in myself. As I strive to become a dermatology physician assistant, start my own skincare company, and create a future where I can encourage people to follow their aspirations in spite of obstacles in life, that conviction still serves as my compass.
