I will focus on social work with organizations and communities, with an in-depth service to providing social justice. The importance of human relationships, exceeding the traits of compassion, competence, and integrity of what it means to be a future licensed social worker. Assessing the impact of diversity on these constituents of organizations and communities. Evaluating the usage of evidence-based practices in service delivery in organizations and communities. Examining how economic policies impact social welfare and the types of services needed from social work.

Dr. Meme Heineman Scholarship
Pursuing higher education occurred later in my life after serving 8 years in the United States Army and 6 months of deployment to Baghdad, Iraq; I realized that females in Iraq have fewer opportunities for voting and education. Upon my separation from serving in the Army and listening to my now 97-year-old Grandmother, she would reminisce how life was hard for her to vote and even obtain higher learning. With great responsibility, I picked up the Torch to continue my education by enrolling in Community College and graduating with a 3.8-grade point average with my Associate's degree in Liberal Arts: Behavioral Science and Social Science, then an Associate in Arts for Transfer in Sociology, while graduating from Los Medanos College, I was awarded the Certificate of Achievement in CSU General Education (CSU-GE-Breadth) on the 25th of May 2018.
After graduation from Los Medanos College, I pursued my bachelor's degree at Holy Names University, a private Catholic University, to continue in Behavioral Science and Sociology to graduate with a 3.5-grade point average with a minor in Human Services. Education is something I treasure and have high regard for because my elders have stressed to me that I have the choice to welcome higher education and to answer the call of action to educate others and share with others of their rights; that is what Social Workers and Licensed Social Workers are doing by displaying competence and the confidence, and the compassion that the Boynton's self-less attitude and behavior showed. The everyday inspirations and aspirations can help vulnerable groups and populations far and near. The positive impact I will make on the community I live in and among my peers is by continuing the efforts in community service on a local level by using membership from Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., of the Iota Zeta Sigma Alumnae Chapter. Intervention and interviewing community members, community leaders, and organizations.
Upon graduation from Northcentral University, I will study for the Georgia Licensure Exam to become the first licensed Social Worker in my family with a master's degree in Social by sharing the responsibility and the privilege of the voting rights that Amelia Boynton Robinson and Samuel William Boynton spoke and peacefully protested, boycotting the mistreatment of human rights and civil rights and equality for all that deferred the privileges of being treated as equals. As a Black Woman who has invisible and visible disabilities I feel responsible to advocate for myself and others that accommodations do help no matter the academic level.

Amelia Boynton and S.W. Boynton Scholarship
The Boyntons were agents of change by organizing social justice with the aspirations of closing the gap in voter's rights for minorities and vulnerable groups during the unrested times of the Civil Rights Movement. The impact the Boyntons had on the voting rights movement through peaceful protests, their stories, and testimony set the stage for others to make light of the importance of minorities being allowed to register to vote and elect members representing communities, towns, and cities. As a Black Woman, I know that my ancestors and elders went through a great deal for me to participate and prove that my voters' rights are secured and counted because they are the ones who paved the right for me to cast my vote and elect commissioners, senators, government leaders, and United States Presidents. With great responsibility, I have chosen that my children witness my participation in voting and even accompany me to the Georgia Primaries Elections, the Georgia Run-Off Elections, and the November Elections.
