I am Teen President of my Jack and Jill of America Chapter and have been honored to provide leadership amongst my peers having held multiple leadership positions at the chapter and regional level over the years. I play varsity defensive end on my high school football team where I’ve learned discipline, perseverance and teamwork. Off the field I have worked as a flag football referee, participated in the 13th Man Leadership Academy, devoted member of the historic Alfred Street Baptist Church and co-founded my school’s Sports Debate Club in an effort to bring critical thinking and public speaking together. I am currently interning with the D.C. Public Defender Service where I’m gaining real exposure to advocacy and the legal system which will get me one step closer to my dream of becoming an attorney. I am interested in majoring in history and political science because I have a passion for justice and civic engagement. Above all else, I am a loyal friend, brother, son and grandson leading with compassion and integrity. I am dedicated to helping my community and using my voice to bring positive changes to my community.
