Bio

I aim to achieve financial independence by managing my own company with a diverse portfolio of rental properties. My expertise will include economic analysis services, market forecasting, and real estate consulting. Before reaching this long-term goal, I will focus on the necessary steps to get there. This includes deepening my understanding of housing market trends, supply and demand, and pricing strategies. I plan to connect with brokers, investors, and other agents through networking events and LinkedIn. To further develop my skills, I will enhance my sales and negotiation abilities by reading books and taking courses on these subjects. In summary, my short-term goals are to gain as much knowledge as possible in the real estate field, expand my network, and cultivate my skills to become a trustworthy, reliable, and knowledgeable business professional.

My father has set high standards for me, and I aspire to achieve my goals in life just as he did after overcoming a challenging childhood. Although he prefers not to dwell on it, he has shared that he grew up with a father who struggled with addiction, which led to his parent's divorce and created a volatile home environment. From middle school through adulthood, he received very little support. He had to raise himself, attend school, and cook meals. He did not even have a bed for a long time and had to sleep on couches. With little to no financial support, he felt he could not afford to go to college. Instead, he decided to work hard at various jobs to escape poverty. He held many positions: as a delivery person, factory worker, cement layer, and construction worker. Eventually, he ventured into real estate, starting as a new real estate agent. He learned the intricacies of building homes and became the Vice President of a home-building company that constructed hundreds of homes each year. He also established his own reconstruction company. My Dad has demonstrated to himself and others that hard work and perseverance can help a person overcome numerous obstacles in life. My Dad is my inspiration, and I want to show him that I, too, am willing to work hard and persevere like he did in my pursuit of becoming a successful business owner, husband, and father, just like he is. My Dad now owns his own construction company and fastening company. Real estate is the backbone of his business, and I want to follow in his footsteps. I am striving to become very knowledgeable in what it takes to search for, buy, own, and manage my own real estate. I want land and property development to be my career. At St. Cloud State University (SCSU), I am currently a freshman and will double major in economics and finance. Receiving any financial assistance would have a significant impact on my life. For one, it would help alleviate the substantial financial burden I have been facing since I began my studies at SCSU. Although I am a member of the basketball team, I do not receive an athletic scholarship, which makes it difficult for me to find a job for most of the year. Since starting college, I have incurred over $20,000 in campus fees, housing, and tuition expenses. The debt I will accumulate over the next three to five years will be extensive, especially if I continue to play basketball without receiving a scholarship. Additionally, I plan to pursue an MBA after completing my degree, and research indicates that the cost for an on-campus MBA as a Minnesota resident is approximately $25,630. If I continue spending around $20,000 a year until I graduate and then proceed to enroll in an MBA program, I will end up with over $130,000 in total expenses. I can hardly imagine navigating my college years burdened by this level of debt, feeling stressed, and struggling to support myself. Receiving financial aid would greatly relieve the anxiety associated with this overwhelming financial burden, allowing me to focus on what truly matters: my education and my basketball career. I am sincerely asking for your help. I believe that I am a hardworking, kind individual who aims to utilize the education I am receiving at SCSU in meaningful ways. I hope you see the value in investing in my future.
