Since I was a little girl I have always been interested in building and designing things. That is why I want to pursue Mechanical Engineering in college. At my high school, I am in the STEM academy where I get to learn about the different pathways that go into STEM and how to specialize in the art of engineering; thanks to the PLTW resources. I am one of the top students in my academy so I am a STEM ambassador so when administrators and guests come to my school I get to teach them about STEM and engineering, and as an ambassador, I get to be on a student panel for my district. I am also captain of my All-Star cheerleading team so I know how to lead a group to success. My high school offers college classes for credit so I have been taking as many college classes as I can. I recently attended a Southwest Summer Camp and I got to see all parts of the company, the one that spoke to me the most was getting to see the Hanger where all of the planes are worked on and fixed.
