I’ve always believed that even small actions can make a big difference. I’m Kylie Warren Young, and whether I’m creating a little free library for my neighborhood, teaching kids about kindness and standing up to bullying, or leading on the soccer and flag football fields, I strive to make a positive impact wherever I go.
I have a 4.0 GPA, reflecting my dedication and commitment to giving my best in everything I do. I make sure to always appreciate what I have and never take anything for granted. I am kind, caring, and dedicated to every goal I set, always trying to do what is right and make my friends and family proud. I admit I’m not perfect, but I learn from my mistakes and grow from them.
After college, I hope to create programs and spaces that empower young people, foster empathy, and strengthen communities. I want to prove that meaningful change begins with care, courage, and action one person, one project, one team, one community at a time.

Ever since I joined Girl Scouts in the 1st grade, I have been driven by a simple but powerful belief: small actions can create big change. That belief guided me through my Bronze and Silver Award projects and continues to shape how I engage with my community. For my Bronze Award, I created a little free library in my churches neighborhood . At first, it was just a box of books, but I quickly realized it was much more than that it became a gathering point, a place where neighbors shared stories, exchanged ideas, and connected over something as simple as a love of reading. Seeing the smiles of kids and adults alike, knowing that I had helped bring a small sense of community into their lives, was unforgettable.
Building on that experience, I took on my Silver Award, focusing on an issue that affects children everywhere: bullying. My troop and I organized lessons for young kids about the importance of kindness, empathy, and standing up for others. I watched shy children gain confidence to speak up when they saw unkind behavior, and I saw friendships strengthen as our lessons encouraged inclusion. That experience taught me that education is not just about facts it’s about shaping hearts and minds, inspiring individuals to create positive change in their own spaces.
These projects made me realize that my impact doesn’t have to be monumental to matter. After college, I plan to continue using my passions to strengthen communities. I want to work in a role where I can combine education, mentorship, and creative problem-solving to make resources and support accessible to those who need them most. I hope to design programs that teach empathy and critical thinking, foster collaboration, and empower young people to take action in their own lives.
Ultimately, my goal is to create ripple effects. Just as a little library brought neighbors together and a lesson on kindness empowered children, I believe every positive action, no matter how small, can grow into a larger movement. By building spaces of connection, encouraging empathy, and inspiring action, I hope to make the world more compassionate and inclusive one person, one project, one community at a time.
Through Girl Scouts, I learned that change starts with care, creativity, and courage. I am committed to carrying these lessons forward, ensuring that the values I hold close kindness, service, and community continue to shape the world long after my own journey through college.
