My life goals is to become an early education teacher so I can help the younger generation. I want to be able to help the kids who don't have a lot, the kids who are scared. I want to help the students that grew up just like me.

Im interested in pursing a career in teaching because I want to help the kids in the less fortunate areas. I want to make sure they have the simple basics and have someone they can come to if they need help. I want to be able to make sure they are safe in school and help them grow into the best versions of themselves. I want to help students find the love of school. I want to help them if they need anything. If they need their hair done, new clothes, or food, they can get it. I hope that I can be an outlet for the student if they need anything or if something is the matter. I have always thought about working in a place where people might need more help. Even if it's a challenge, I want to be able to look back and see that I helped make the best out of a child's life, even if I don't realize it when I'm doing it then. I hope that my future students can look back and see that I was helping them and making their lives just a little bit better, even if it's for six hours, five days a week. I want to be able to bring new experiences to the students, even if it means it takes extra work to fight for the experiences. I would want to create a small store for the students if they need anything, such as soap for showers or hair brushes. I want to be the teacher who has few resources for the students.
I had a teacher who changed my life in 5th grade. I just transferred into a new school. I was the kid who got picked on because I was new. This teacher helped me with the bullying and made sure I felt safe in the classroom. One day I was getting bullied because I was getting adopted and my parents wrote a note telling her I would be out one day because I was going to be in court to get adopted some kids saw the note and took it from me and started making fun of me telling me I will never be in the family I was getting adopted into and I would never be one of their real children. My teacher heard that and took me outside the class and helped me calm down from the panic attack I was having. She told me I was worth being loved and that it doesn't matter about being related by blood but being related by the love you feel that family. She told me that no matter what I will find the people who care and love me. That I would find the friends who care about me no matter if I was different or not. I have taken that with me since that day. I don't look at people different just because they are different form me. I learn about who they are because that teacher did the same for ,e.

I was in foster care from 8 years old to 11 years old. I was taken from my father, who was a drug user, after child protection services were called by the elementary school for my being there three hours after pick up. I was supposed to be picked up around 2:30 pm, and wasn't picked up till around 9:30 pm. The police were called, and they went to many different places my father might have been. My father came into the school lobby, and I was sitting there with the principal and three police officers. My father walked in with bloodshot eyes and a scent of weed on his clothes. I went home with him, and three days later, I was sent to a new house. I started going to school regularly, which was new to me. When I was younger, I thought school started after Christmas break and ended in late March. I never had a true home to call my own and would move from home to home every other month, so I switched schools very often if I was ever in the school.
My plan to make a positive impact in my community when I receive my degree is to help the kids in the less fortunate areas. I want to make sure they have the simple basics and have someone they can come to if they need help.
