Bio

I've been involved in the arts my entire life. It has shaped me into the woman that I am, giving me a purpose for living. One of my biggest goals is to take my passion for the arts and give back to my community by creating school for underprivileged children to get to experience arts education. I know the impact that being exposed to arts education has had on my development as a person and I want nothing more than to give that opportunity to children who may not be fortunate enough to have this experience. By pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Music Business I'm hoping to take my knowledge of business combined with my love of the arts and start a business that leaves a lasting impact on my community and perhaps the world.

I intend to change the world through the arts education of underprivileged youth. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to have been exposed to musical theater, dance, acting, and many other theatrical performance styles. To me being on stage or being a part of the production of an art piece is what fuels my very existence. I was only able to discover this because I had access to the resources that helped me grow my love for the arts. The impact that this exposure has had on my confidence, public speaking ability, leadership skills, communication, creativity, and critical thinking is immeasurable and priceless. To put it simply, I would not be who I am today were it not for my experience in fine arts education. Since my junior year of high school, it has been my dream to create a school of my own that will allow children who are underprivileged or experiencing poverty, that may not have access to fine arts education programs in their school curriculums, to experience this form of education. To find the same passion that I did. I want to be able to touch the lives of students who feel unheard or unseen because of circumstances beyond their control, to show them that despite their situation they are just as worthy as anyone to be on stage, to find a sense of belonging through art expression, and to see for themselves just how impactful education in fine arts can be on their development as people. I'm passionate about advocating for underprivileged students to gain access to opportunities in the arts no matter where they come from. Creating a space for their development and flourishing and giving them the tools to express who they are is what fuels my passion for leadership.
