I enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 2019 to help pay for college, but I have gained so much more. My experience in the Army has given me confidence and has allowed me to push myself to achieve my goals. My initial military training was the hardest thing I have ever done, but I am grateful for those experiences as they prepared me for my future. I am currently attending the University of Tulsa to pursue my baccalaureate in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. After completing my undergraduate studies, I aspire to attend graduate school to earn my Master of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Public Affairs. My dream career would be one that involves working to develop policies that both counter terrorism, as well as integrate immigrants into our society, in order to promote peace and diversity in our evolving world. I want to be able to give back to our institutions and military that have enabled me to become this version of myself. Education and determination have gotten me farther than I could have ever imagined, and I cannot wait to experience what else the world has in store. I am so grateful for the funding from the Bold Scholarship donors and the positive impact that they are having on people's lives.
