Hi my name is Kyle Herrera, an aspiring transfer student to the university of Denver. As a criminology major with plans on continuing to law school, I hope one day to be an attorney living life in the fast lane. I dream to work for a large law firm in New York City. I come from a poor background and am trying to do my best to make a name for myself even though the odds are stacked against me. Gratitude and honesty are some of the most important values to me because without honesty you can’t have gratitude. I always remind myself that no matter what happens, I am better than no one, and no one is better than me. I am basically a first generation college student and doing all this on my own, sometimes it gets difficult but when it gets difficult I try to find positivity through all the pain. It’s important that I am able to obtain my goal because I want to be able to change the lives of so many. My passion for law has thrived within me for many years and is still a burning desire deep inside of me. The thought of even being able to help 1 person or have an impact in someone else’s life is an incredible honor to me. Although I cherish the idea of being able to help people through difficult times in their lives I also believe that there are two types of people in this world. Winners and Losers, and through my experiences I will do anything it takes to be a winner.
