My name is Kyla Treadwell, I attend school at Marymount University in Arlington Virginia. I play women's basketball there and it has been a huge part of my life and what I've been committed to. I am deeply passionate about pursuing a career in occupational therapy. I have always been drawn to the idea of helping individuals regain their independence, improve their quality of life, and overcome physical and mental challenges. By becoming an occupational therapist, I believe I can make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. However, coming from a low-income household, financing my education has been a significant concern. The cost of tuition, textbooks, and other educational expenses can be overwhelming, and I worry that the burden of student loans would hinder my ability to fully focus on my studies and my future career. That's why this scholarship opportunity is incredibly important to me.
