I read books daily.

I read books daily.
My life goals revolve around making a meaningful impact in the field of mental health, with a focus on understanding and supporting individuals facing psychological challenges. My passion for human behavior has been a guiding force from a young age. Completing my undergraduate studies in social sciences laid the groundwork for the nuanced understanding of societal dynamics and psychological principles. Despite life’s challenges, which included pauses in my educational journey, my passion for human behavior remained steadfast. Balancing work and studies, particularly while raising four children as a single parent, has instilled resilience and time management skills, crucial for academic success and life. I am pursuing a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling because it aligns perfectly with my passion for aiding individuals in their journey toward mental wellness. Mental health is often undervalued yet is paramount in our overall well-being. By gaining advanced knowledge in mental health counseling, I hope to provide accessible and empathetic care particularly to under-served communities. By alleviating the societal burdens associated with untreated mental health issues, I can contribute to healthier communities. Receiving scholarships will significantly alleviate the financial burdens of my educational pursuit, allowing me to focus more profoundly on my academic and professional aspirations. It serves as a living testament to my children that hard work and perseverance can surmount obstacles. Krystal Bristol
