I chose to pursue trade school and a career in esthetics because I love working hands-on and directly helping people feel better about themselves. All things beauty, skin-care, and creativity has always inspired me, as a kid growing up I would spend all my days drawing and putting on my mom’s makeup. Esthetics is the perfect trade for me. It is a skilled trade where I can use my hands, my eye for detail, and my passion to make a real difference in someone’s day. Seeing real transformations and making a direct impact in someone’s daily life is deeply rewarding. I love that in the trades, your craft becomes something you keep perfecting through practice and perseverance. Esthetics is my passion because it combines creativity, care, and science to truly help people feel confident in their own skin. Growing up, like any other teenager, I struggled with breakouts and sensitive skin, and it absolutely affected my self-esteem. Learning how to care for my skin and seeing how big a difference that made me feel sparked my love and passion for esthetics. I knew I wanted to help other people feel comfortable in their skin some day. It took me a long time to find my path after dropping out of college, I had to restart my education and balance full-time work with evening school. Pushing through those challenges showed me how deeply I care about my trade and furthering my education. Education gives you the knowledge to help your clients safely and effectively, and it also gives you the confidence to refine your craft and make a career out of this industry. I see continuing education as the key to staying motivated and offering the best services to my clients. Whether it’s keeping up with new products, techniques, or scientific research, since we know the beauty industry is always evolving. Being open to learn and grow, means you can truly make a difference. Beyond my passion for the craft itself, I care deeply about mental health and self-esteem especially for women and young people. I have experienced how much our confidence can affect every part of our lives. That’s why I’m passionate about beauty and skincare that supports self-confidence rather than unrealistic perfection and beauty standards. I also believe self-care shouldn’t be a luxury reserved for a select few people. I want to be able to create a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds feel they belong and deserve to take time for themselves. Esthetics isn’t just a job to me, it’s a way to combine creativity, skill, and compassion to make real and positive changes in people’s lives. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my passion, and I look forward to growing as an esthetician who helps others feel confident, seen, and empowered.
