Bio

Hello! I am currently a senior at Northwood High School, and I want to help those around me, especially when it comes to their health, whether it be mental, physical, or spiritual. I plan on majoring in Nursing. I am aiming for a Master's of Science in Nursing in order to become a Diabetes Nurse Educator. As a Type 1 diabetic myself, I know what it is like to grow up with an illness that takes a lot of responsibility. I want to further my education so I can be able to help other children or adults like me. I am also passionate about mental health, and want to study psychology after nursing. As for academics, I am dual-enrolled with Montgomery College, have taken several college courses for free, and earned a lot of college credit before I've graduated high school. I am always striving to improve myself in many areas, including my academics, musical abilities, dancing, fashion, sports, and other hobbies. As a low-income, first-generation, Hispanic woman and student, I have faced many obstacles in my social and school life, but I hope that I am able to further my education and achieve my goals with the help of scholarships and financial aid.
