Hi there, I'm Krish! I'm excited to share a little bit about myself with you. Rock climbing is my greatest athletic passion. It's a rewarding sport that has taught me valuable life lessons such as persistence, courage, and vulnerability. Through climbing, I've learned how to trust myself and others. Psychology is another area that fascinates me. Learning how people think, act, and behave in different situations is incredibly intriguing. Everyone is unique, and it is amazing to see how diverse our behaviors can be. Currently, I volunteer at Teen Link, a state-funded mental health hotline for teens. I'm also involved in making 504 and IEPs (student learning plans) more accessible within my community and surrounding school districts. Additionally, I'm helping to develop inclusive health curricula across multiple schools. I'm using research-backed teaching styles to increase student engagement. I aspire to specialize as a psychiatric nurse to treat the communities I’m apart of. The world around me inspires me greatly. I attended The Climbing Academy (TCA), a boarding high school that travels around the world to rock climb and explore unique locations. Ulledmolins, Spain is one of my favourite places that I've visited with the school. I've formed meaningful relationships with the locals and immersed myself in Spanish culture. Scholarships have provided me with the opportunity to be a part of TCA, and I hope to receive scholarships to pursue my passions in furthering my education, healthcare, mental health services, community building, and exploring the world.
