I am a first-generation college student who is beginning my journey on a path very few in my entire family have taken. I am starting my college career to become an Optometrist. I have dreamed of helping others and am able to do so through this profession. In my daily life, I ensure that I meet new people from various backgrounds to enrich my knowledge of others. As my profession will allow me to interact with people who are different from me I have started practicing helping others now to solidify my conversation skills. I enjoy traveling. I have recently studied abroad in Germany, Belgium, and Netherlands. I imagine this will not be my last excursion to a new country and I am thrilled to take on whatever life throws at me!
