I walk into a classroom and all I see is a group of teenage boys all staring at me, wondering why I am "doing a man's job." While I can hear them saying under there breath, "she probably doesn't even know how to pop the hood" or "she probably gonna cry when she breaks a nail" (I don't wear nails). Well the truth is that i probably know more than all of them combined. I come from a farming background and farming has a lot of responsibilities, but its nothing I cant handle. My family also has a mechanical background as well. My grandpa but rockets and missiles. My dad is a self taught mechanic (but dang he is really good at fixing things). My older brother is a diesel mechanic and he loves his job. 1 thing I love out of anything in the automotive feild is that there's something new every time. I could never sit at a factory job and do the same thing everyday for my while life. What comes with a lot of responsible and with a lot a hard work ethic comes to a great time. The automotive industryhas made me becomewho I am and has helped me make a new family. Here are some of the things that sick out about me. I play volleyball, and.im going to play in college, I play 3 other sports, I grew up on a farm, i go to a vocational automotive class, a.d this is mu 2 year in it and I will graduate from ivy tech in the spring of 2024, i show livestock, i go to church, I derby opd cars, I work on the farm equipment at home. I really love hanging out with my family and friends. I love my 4 dogs at home (they are too cute). On the other hand I have dedication, patience, confidence, concentrated, motivated, organized, problem solving skills, quick to diagnose, and a pretty good sense of humor. Automotive technicians have so much passion for the work they do. They love the opportunity to go into a shop everyday, solve a problem, and work with their hands. A lot of automotive technicians have had an interest in cars from a very young age, and turned their passion and drive into a career. As a female in the automotive feild, have a very good work ethic and dedication to get the work done. I have always wanted to be a technician. When my hard work pays off I feel complete.
